Idontknowyet (aka UneekTT) in his TT at Arlington Hts Rd/90 exit at 9:15am. Very nice

 

And I hadn't put 2 and 2 together..

I saw his TT last year at an Audi event in the City, and met him again a few weeks ago at the Glenview Harley dealer as well as a few other people from IllinoisEuro

That must be the other EB MCS that I see from time to time here in CL. It has an EB roof if I remember right.

 

At 4:45am a LS/B MC at Rt 59/34 in Aurora. No wave...it was pitch black out.

Then at 12:30 this afternoon, A PW/B MSC on Rt 34 in Oswego, gave a wave and got one back. Also chatted side by side at a red light with the driver (another mom with husband as a passenger and child in the back) mentioned the club and she was going to look into it. (she wasn't aware of a MINI club)

Hes got a battry powered unit it parks way deep in the trees stands in the shadow of the bottom of the hill and gets the front car of the pack coming over the crest

thanks! I don't speed there anyways cause i don't like wind blowing
into my car in excess of 55mph. i motor my MCS with windows down.

 

I was crawling through because the SUV behind me wanted to kiss my tailpipes so I was giving the realtively heavy traffic (for that area) ample following distance, amazing how the sight of a Police car made them change their mind and give me some breathing room.

 

that's pretty funny.

i spotted 2 red MCS's with white roofs this Sun morning.

one heading south on Rt83 just north of 290 (9:35am?)
another one heading south on Arlington Hts Rd just south of Golf Rd (9:50am?)

 

I saw a gazillion MINIs today but I was riding shotgun in my friend's Prius :(

But something amusing happened at the Lake Forest Oasis on I-94 when we were heading back to WI (we were in town to watch the U.S. vs. Brazil soccer match). When we pulled into the parking lot I said "Ooh! MINI!", having spotted an R56 MCS (Sparkling Silver, I think), IL plates, Knauz frame (I think). He parked in the same row, just so I could be close to another MINI. When we came out probably 30 minutes later, the R56 was replaced by a DS/B MCSC.

Well, I was amused, anyway.

 

Today @ about 12:20 I saw Ords in my driveway. He did a test drive of the BBQ run and it happens to end in my driveway.

 

Good news, that means he didn't get lost ;-)

saw two twin cars (ok they didn't have bonnet stripes like mine) in vernon hills around 12:45pm.

as always, i waved to non-looking eyes. ya joyks!

 

Nope, there was a few spots in the turn by turns that we must fix but other than that a good drive.

At about 2:00 I saw Dustin in my driveway too. Then later Paul came back over for a bit.
