PS = Pure Silver

it's the lighter silver color, as opposed to all of the DS (Dark Silver) MINIs that were at the cruise on SAT... where were you??? we should run it sometime

 

I know I have been really bad about things lately. We have been redo'n our kitchen and trying to get the baby's room ready and it has taken up most of my evenings and weekends.

 

Well sorry I could not make it to that event, turned out there were 2 BDAY parties that weekend, and things went late into the night...

Saturday, saw a BRG put a card on window...

Monday morning on lakeshore.

PW - waved at him, on phone, no wave back
umn, BRG and CR behind me a few cars back...

Opposite direction, EB/EB got a wave back!!!!

saw a EB MCS last friday on lake st., he drove up and revved his engine and made me miss my turn on barrington haha.

Last Thursday, I spotted a Dark Silver MCS with black stripes in Stone Park on Mannheim just north of Rt 64 in the parking lot by the China Buffet. And he saw me getting a ticket for no front plate by Stone Park's finest...

 

^^ ouch... my front plates are on my cars now... never got a
ticket but just the hassle of getting pulled over over and over and over
again for the same dumb reason was just getting to me.

• DS/B MCS - wb Dempster/MtProspect Rd (passed while I was behind BRG)
• HB/W MC wb Golf Rd/Potter Rd. I think you tried to wave...

does anyone else take great offense to non-waving MINI owners?!! hahahaha i take it personally like "how daaare you!".

prime example: Yesterday:
YOU: PW/B MCS headed SB on 45 in Grayslake
ME: headed NB on 45 turning onto Peterson...flashed lights, waved as i turned.
YOU: nuffin.

I've learned not to take it personally, but it's still upsets me a little... I'm sure a lot of them are just not paying attention, but is gets to me sometimes if they see you wave and still don't acknowlegde you. Oh well... It makes my day if I get a wave back though

yeah, it would be nice if all mini drivers would acknowledge you haha. every single mini i came across in dupage county doesnt like to waive or something. i say if you take pride in your mini, you will take pride in other people driving mini's =)

 

I don't know why, but all of a sudden I had this mental image of me carrying around a giant sign that says "HELLO FELLOW MINI OWNER!" that I can wave at passing MINI motorists...can't ignore that!

 

We should all get bumper stickers that say "I wave for MINIs." Maybe word will get around then!

 

MCS Convertible in Cool Blue with bonnet stripes this morning about 9:50 on the 290 W entrance ramp near 294. Waves were exchanged when I merged in behind him for the ramp.

 

I got a honk and wave from a silver Jetta this morning on Grand Ave. in Gurnee.

 

AB/AB MCS R53 on Rt. 34 in Oswego @ 7pm last night driven by a Charlize Theron look-a-like . I got the wave and waved back. Found out she's local and new to the MINI world. I mentioned the club and gave her a NAM card too.

 

...and you got her # for me, right

 

Well, I mentioned the BBQ, plus there's another CR/W MCS R56 that's local (Married woman who loves the car.) Come to think of it, there's the MCSC too that I see all the time.

i second the "I wave for MINIs" decal. My boyfriend manages a sign shop, i've gotten him to make me other mini related decals....maybe some more?!?
