Saw lots of MINIs today when I brought mine in for service at Patrick.

Also, while there, I finally test drove a 2007 MCS. Wow! I like it. Taking that test drive may have been a big mistake.

 

Went out to Galena last week on Wed (25th July) saw a Silver (Charcoal? Sparkling? it was dark silver) heading E. on 90 between Rockford and Woodstock (wasn't keeping track) in the morning as I was heading W. I think he saw me, he is a handsome white-haired guy, looked 45-50ish, seemed to do a double-take.

 

Pepper White R56S westbound on I-88 with Bill Jacobs plate frame that I was tailing between Winfield and Farnsworth. Had black hood stripes. I waved as I drove past just before I exited at Farnsworth, but not sure if he waved back as I was concentrating on finding a spot to merge...

 

CR/W MCS on I-88 westbound around 10:30 last night between Naperville Rd. and 59.

Someone on the Board? Had the "GB" on the boot and a 40th anniv. placard from Monaco on the right rear quarterpanel.

I think the car you saw last night was just purchased recently. I've been back and forth to Aurora [race car hobbies!!] and I've seen this car twice in the last week. I've been driving the BIG YELLOW truck, so... He wouldn't exactly wave to me....

 

I waved to someone in a blue (I can't remember which blue - the darker one) MCS on Route 31 between Algonquin and Dundee. I waved instinctively not realizing at first that I was not in my MINI. I think he didn't see me though.

 

BRG/BRG MCS on I88, near york toll yesterday around 1:30. I have a picture of him (which I'll post later) He was so focused that he didn't even blink when I waved.

If he's a local guy I'm sure he'll catch on. With the GB and placard it puts him in the "It's a more than a car attitude".

I've been on the S-heavies for about 2 weeks cause I haven't had the chance to swing by the tire store to get the hole fixed on one of the 99s. I'dbe real interesed if another was in the area with yellow head lights besides myself lol.

Were you in th G? I saw an IB one day I thought was oyu at first...but it was lacking the PIAAs. Yes I have many spottings I haven't had the time to post But I'm slowly getting more and more waves.... I'll have to pull some of the spottings off my phone. I've also noticed a lot of you attractive ladies driving MINIs in the area in the last month or so, no sure why so many aren't makingit out to the club meets

Went to Woodstock yesterday - we got 3 waves from MINIs on Rt 47. CR/W R53 MCS with a UJ top, a mint green (??) MC, and one other that I can't remember

 

I spotted a guy in a silver MC on Rand today waiting for a left-hand turn
in Palatine 9:15am-ish; gave him a quick wave but he looked like me was
on something.

Well yes but I also know exactly where in the state code one has to look to determine that they are, and I definately garnishmore attention (good and bad) with them.

motoron- as far as I could see this morning, it appeared both sides were
done (atleast by Algonquin).

 

Spotted: LTLMCPE in his BMW wagon saw me pumping gas at 22 and 41 today and shouted out a howdee!!
