Chicagoland MINI spottings!

The other day I saw a Cabrio that I believe was red. The thing that I did notice was a FUGLY spoiler hanging off the back at the beltline. Has anyone else seen this car around?

This same MCS has been spotted in a nearby parking lot for weeks. Finally took its driver out!!!

you know... I'm not sure I've ever seen a spoiler of any kind on a cabrio...

did that fugly spoiler per chance look like a bar, almost? Width of the MINI, about 12" deep, perfect for pulling up a barstool, sitting down, and enjoying a cold one? I've seen that on Palatine road before ... being the person that takes pictures of almost everything, i might even be able to find a picture of it...

A BRG w/ a Black Roof and red bonnet stripes passed me on 68 (hard to believe, but yes, traffic does move on that road at 4:30). He didn't wave, so when i passed him again (it was a banner day for traffic) i gave him a wave, and he gave me the Cool Guy in Shades nod back 
Then to my surprise, he cut in behind me ... and followed me to McHenry and all then towards Wieland, where i had to go to Staples (that was easy!)... quite surprising, usually i'm the one doing the stalking around here ... pretty cool, hadn't had that happen yet!

4/21 sat morning drive in G, i spotted:
10am- chocolate MC(?) with lady driver arlington hts rd by central.
10:10am - black MCS in downtown arlington hts (arlington hts rd, nw hwy)
4/21 sat afternoon drive in MCS, i spotted:
3pm - HB MCS male driver dundee rd in barrington about 1/4 mile from 59.
Thanks for the wave, i was a tad late to wave cause i was fiddling with
the stereo...

Today was an unusually good wave day for me. There was the HB convertible I mentioned then a PS on Randall Road in Algonquin and an LY on Ackman just a minute or two later. All waved.

Spotted a CR/W MC (think it wasn't an S) southbound on Thompson Rd. near Wonder Lake around 2 or 3 this afternoon. I was not in my MINI at the time but rather my brother's pickup. Gave the driver a thumbs-up anyway, to which my brother said, "Oh God."
