What's a GP?? I don't know much about these cars other than I love mine I couldn't even tell you what an R56 or R53 is

Yes, that helps! And Yes! that was what I saw! Was it limited production or just anyone could order? I really like the look. Didn't get to run with it so I don't know how fast it plays

 

Ya, the article talks a little bit about the differences between it and a regular R53. I'd just be quoting the article if I talked any more about it.. but in short, in '06 it was the fastest MINI out of the factory. I only know of a couple GP's in the Chicago area.

If you like the look, word is that MINI is coming out with a GP edition of the R56.... I'm sure production will be very limited so talk to a dealer ASAP.

I was driving home from work Sunday afternoon and spotted Ernesto's R50 on the west side of Route 31, pulled over to say 'hello' and quickly realized it was the tail end of the MINI meet! Chatted for a while and saw a few MINIs too bad I wasn't driving mine

Yep, the green wheeled hot-rod belongs to me..

I had about 3 squared wheels from the previous owner, plus the great curb rash syndrome....

The green wheels make it look fast.... Well, at least that what the buffalo grove officer says..

But, Im glad you like them.. Every honda owner drives by waving at me.. I think Ive got more waves in 2 weeks than EVER from Mini owners..Kinda depressing :(

I used to drive by your shop everyday for the past 3 years driving to school (Grey 2008 Jetta 2.0T), but now I go to school in Tennessee and work in Northbrook.

Yeah, i'm on 355 2-3 times a week but at different times. My hours are not always the same. Are you on 355 a lot? I'll keep an eye open for you!
