You have to keep waving, even if they don't wave back. Enough people do it and they start. I know what you mean about the odd stares, but I pulled next to one of those soccer moms and explained, we wave, it's expected. Next time I saw her, she waved!

Hey 6thGear...about 99% sure we passed each other earlier this week. Maybe on Butterfield Road in Mundelein? I didn't get my wave on in time, but I acknowledged a little late...I was the Pepper White/Black Clubman. Love the orange accents on your BRG Clubman

 

I always wave if I see a MINI in time, but most often the drivers are oblivious. However, several wave backs in past week!

Yup, that was me. Thanks for the compliment. Was that in the morning? I'm usually still half asleep , but I think I do remember the pass. I'm happy when I see another MINI and try to wave, but when I see another Clubman I get really excited cause we are that much more YouNique / rare. Until next time.....

Who was at Chicagoland Speedway yesterday? Saw a silver justa with black roof and bonnet stripes parked on the backstretch. I thought I had the only mini there yesterday.

 

Mine was the CR white roof in turn 2

 

Um... anyone seen an 02-04 MCS CR/B running around near Joliet area? I think it had the s-lites on it, in silver. Im sure I'd have fun caravaning with him..!

 

i have yet to get a wave back when I'm driving my BRG mini. I'm beginning to think its a waste of time....

got an awesome lowkey two finger mutual waveback today from a grey(?) MCS with gold/bronze rims. Butterfield in V-Hills. Made my day, dude. Motor on!

 

Saw a red r53?(not good with telling r53 from r56) with black rims and tints on Ogden ave in downers grove by the delta sonic.. 'Twas very nice. Wish I had my mini back up and running

 

I passed two justas today one silver one on 290 around 7 ish this morning and a yellow justa on harlem around 11 ish ... no waveeeeeeeee :-(

if you see a 06 MCS JCW Checmate thats Space Blue with GI plates its me...make sure to wave...Im really starting to feel the Mini wave disappear...im always waving I only get the wave when im in my jeep lol

 

I may have password the yellow one on i55 before I got off on Lagrange rd... Sounds like the right time for it...

I'm telling you the same thing. No waves from most people. It's like they don't even see another mini. When I had my jeep people would go out of their way to wave to you.

I'm thinking in the next few years I'm going to pick up another jeep as a second vehicle. I miss the waves from other drivers.

 

I love my jeep as much as I love my Mini I customized my jeep and now doing the mini wouldn't trade them for anything...the jeep wave is still going strong...your right about people going out of the way...I had a guy stock in traffic on 88 going the opposite direction 4 lanes and a median away and he stuck his arm out the window and waved...I wave at other minis and most of them give me dirty looks...lol it saddens me lol

 

^I know what you mean. I sold my Jeep last year and miss it very much. So much in fact that I am looking for a cheaper TJ for the winter.

 

Saw another red roadster today in Lombard on Roosevelt RD (38). Only the second roadster I've seen in the area. Driven by a lovely young lady who says she's part of CMMC. (and she waved!)

Driving down the Kennedy late at night on New Year's Day and a snow covered, dark blue MC(S?) pulled up in the next lane. I waved furiously with a giant grin and they waved back. It was my first wave!!

If anyone sees an all-red justa with a girl in a purple hat, that'd be me. May or may not be pretending to be a racecar driver.

I do, I use the same screenname for all forums. I've had a Kawasaki ZX6R, Ducati 749, Yamaha R6, and a Honda CBR 1000RR...so you may have seen my name around those forums. Also Jeepforums and 300ZX. I'm all over the place hah

 

Cool, I use G2G on most forums. I am on alot of motorcycle roadracing forums and also a bunch of the Chicago motorcycle forums.

 

I saw my first 3rd gen today driving in Elk Grove, Volcanic Orange MCS. No wave back tho

 

Saw a Blue w/Black Clubman S heading north on Rt. 59 around 1:30pm today, 5/14
My BRG II w/Black Clubman JCW just wanted to play.....so I ducked in behind and was about to wave when the chase was on!
Just trying to be friendly.... lol .... But nice last second move at the light, to the outside lane, caught me off guard!
Maybe we can attempt another plat date another time......till then, nice looking ride!
