I really miss the one touch windows up feature my VW Beetle had..

 

It's funny, cause for some reason on my 08 S, that was one of the things I didn't need done. It was already set that way. What I DID have done is the roll-up and close sunroof features when holding lock on the keyfob remotely.

 

THAT would be nice too. How is this coding done? Special program on a scanner type tool? or a usb program? VW's have the VAG-COM. What does MINI have?

 

Contact triple_o with those questions, I was just a happy customer who had him add all those features. He used a laptop and some obd2 cable that connected to the laptop. I just watched him work the magic and made my car a lot smarter.

New to the board and new to Mini's as well...but if you see this guy roaming around the city, it's me.



I just picked it up the other day. It was recently inspected...but I feel like the idle's a bit weird and when I hooked up my OBD2 I got an O2 sensor issue. I have an appointment at Mini of Chicago tomorrow morning. I figured I'd give the dealership a shot for once.

Spotted grey modded R53 on 53 headed north on the south side. Almost got creamed, along with me, by a Civic that didn't realize traffic had stopped lol.

 

Surely I saw a NAM member yesterday. It was a white JCW coupe with black stripes and an R 58 license plate heading onto the eastbound Kennedy from Cicero.

 

I"m not sure if that was me or not, but I have a blacked (tail lights blacked out too) out R53 with dark grey stripes and I-55 is about the only highway I have traveled in a while.

 

Spotted Gabe in the Motoringfile Roadster heading north on RT 41 yesterday morning.

 

Saw another HC/S Clubman at dog park in Wauconda yesterday, but theirs was a S. Told them "nice car" which seemed to surprise them, then I pointed at mine.

 

Spotted my first Paceman on the roads, pulling into Full Moon Resturaunt this morning..

spotted a black cooper roadster on north ave.. was nice to see another roadster with the top down!

 

Finally saw my first Roadster - Silver, on Pasquinelli drive and Oakmont (at the stop sign) in Westmont. I didn't think I was ever going to see one!

 

There is a PW/B roadster S that follows me home every day on 355 north from I80.. He seems to have the same lead foot problem I have.. well, that's besides "the avoidance of the pothole" driving style that every MINI owner has naturally gained...!!

 

Saw several MINI's in Vernon Hills and Libertyville last evening on Milwaukee including a red roadster with top down.

 

I think I saw you a couple of weeks ago, going through Mundelein on 45, you going North, me going South in a BRG Clubman S w/ roof rack, was that you? We exchanged waves.

 

I always see other MINIs on my commute going from the City to Lincolnshire in the morning and on the way back in the afternoon via the Edens.

Does anyone here have a Silver 1st gen who was going westbound on the Spur...on a flatbed towtruck?

 

I live in Mundelein a couple blocks off 45 so had to be me! I do recall the roof rack.

 

I also live in Mundelein just east of 45 off Courtland, I've seen a HC clubman coming the other way leaving my house many times

 

Saw a "challenge" style r56 decals and everything in downtown chi-town last night. Gorgeous.

 

That's me too. My normal driver and dog carrier.

 

Seems like all my fellow Mini owners in Chicagoland are on the damn north side!
