Crossed paths with ucanhavmycake78 on the way back from Cincy.. We were pulling into lunch just as he was leaving a gas stop..

 

Yes, indeed we did. The pre-race atmosphere and parking in the USGP Car Corral (actually on the track, where the back straight not being used) was fun. But, in words only a 10 year old could use, "[t]he race was lame, Dad." So goes another Father's Day tale and trip.

 

Spotted 6/21/05 Schaumburg 7pm on Golf Rd near
Wilkens (by carmax/woodfield lexus) IB/B MCS with aero kit, what
looked like PIAA driving lights and S-lite wheels.

For a second I thought it was 2percooper with this CF hood...nope..
no CF see-through stripe...actually no stripe at all on that car.
but it looked good kinda reminded me of what my car kinda
looked like when new but with R90's.

Roselle Rd heading north just over Ohare/Elgin going WOT
from standstill peeling out blowing past a couple of cars chirped
2nd gear continues to go full throttle through 3rd. SLOW DOWN!!!

I grew up in Chicagoland. It's nice to see that there are still nice people in the Windy City, hanging out on NAM. My brother lives in the Lakeview area, and many folks in that area can be a little cold/snobby. Plenty of MINI's though...

I'll be sure to wave when I see other MINI's whenever I'm in town visiting my family. :smile:

Roselle's speed limit at that location is 40mph. He
zipped through 3rd so going over twice the speed limit.
WTF!!!

Spotted an '05 MCC, gold w/ black top twice in the last two days. Both times it was headed westbound on 115th St just East of I-94 . Very nice!!

I always see an Electric Blue MCS parked on Webster (just west of Racine). Aero kit, and a big Cooper S front windshield decal. Looks sharp.

Last time I drove by and saw it, it had two tickets on the driver side window though ...

 

spotted 07/02/2005: LY/W MC heading south on Roselle Rd. around 3:30ish. I waved...no wave back :(

Only saw one MINI today around the GH, Bartlett, Schaumburg, Hanover Park area...Yeah i went cruisin' since it was a great day out. But only one MINI... :( x 2

 

7/3 Spotted RED/RED MCS with lady driver on Dundee heading East 10am
around Hicks Rd (Palatine) :smile:

Also spotted IB/Blk MCS with aero kit, running 17's (couldn't tell if
Slites or R90's) but it looked very similar to my car... around 10:15am
Rt14 heading east near Ela Rd (Palatine).

i'll be heating out on my MCS in a little while....hope to spot more.

 

Spotted EB/Blk 7.9.05: Around 11am on Roselle Rd southbound at Golf Rd.

Spotted 7/29/05 North Aurora: Orange(?) convertible 5pm off Rt25
parked at some small shop.

Spotted 7/31/05 Palatine: IB/B MCS off Dundee heading east 10:35am-ish.
Had factory aero kit, driving lights with black covers on. factory exhaust.
I think it also had a checkered roof.

 

I saw a gold/Black Cooper heading north on Edens today with black offset stripes.. Almost an "evil" twin of my car.

 

I also spotted on 7/30 a flaming red MCS on Roselle Rd heading south
by Ohare/Elgin around 11am..i think it was around 11am.

it had flame decals all over its boot.

 

Spotted 8/1 10:45am IB/B MCS on Algonquin Rd. in HoffmanEsts
between Barrington Rd and Ela. I was driving next to you in my silver
G35C.

 

Kenchan - was there a blond female driver? If so it was probably my wife, she's driving my IB/B MCS for a week or two while I get her Touareg.....I'm surprised we haven't seen each other since we both live in Schaumburg, I'm always crusing around the Woodfield area...

 

Actually she was blond and her hair was about to her shoulders.

I only drive my MCS on the weekends so that's probably why.
