I usually don't drive my MINI much on weekends, but I did about 100 miles scoping out the roads for the CMMC April 14th Drive to the Volo Auto Museum.

I saw a CR/W MCS (MC40?) with UJ mirror caps on Lake Street near Rt. 45.

Got a wave from a lady in a PW/B MC at the April drive starting point in Buffalo Grove (a good omen).

Also got wave from a guy in a CR/W MC on Rt. 176 near 45 on my way homewards.

 

i was cruising along rte 59 near LBS (lake barrington shore) where i live in IL. and you waved at me. so sorry i did not make a mental note of the mini you are driving. i drive an 06 royal grey base coop. just wanna say thanks for the wave. that was a welcome surprise.

hi ernesto i do remember now he has a stripe in his mini. i doubt it was red though. did u wave at the royal grey mini? it happened last 3/23 i remember coz i picked up my mini from the service that day.

 

I was out there.. I had planned to go through Wynstone Lake area, but didn't realize it was a gated/private road. Looped up Rt. 59 instead.

I parked next to a BRG/W MC at the McCormick place for Hot Import Nights.

 

Just past Quentin, saw the same MINI the following day too, but didn't drive with it for 20 miles and recieve no wave a 2nd time was it you?!?

motoron i think ya i saw that but no wave from u. i actually just saw a brg/w on rte 22 and north lake commons today. no wave either but i saw the brg/w passenger craning his/her neck at my mini hhahaha. are u here neck craner? ive seen like 5-10 minis around LBS and i only got 1 wave from the mini i forgot to take a mental note on the model and color.

 

nope, wasn't me. The Chap was at the BF's house hiding from the bad weather that never made it up north.

PLUS...i always wave or flash the lights!!! always!!!
