i just got back from Eagle River, Wisconsin where i was so impressed and excited to see a PW/B MC headed SB on 45...

i was in the S4, so no wave... but, i did yelp out "MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINI!!!"

you're hard pressed to see imports up there. brought The Chap up in the summer and was given the strangest looks!

 

SPOTTED: [well, actually not me, but the girlfriend in the passenger seat screaming for mercy as we turned the corner!!!]

1/6/08 4:30pm CR / B R56. In the Parkside Lanes Parking lot, at the corner of Farnsworth and Hill Rd, in Aurora / Oswego -- whatever town that is!!!!

 

Spotted today -

PW/B MC (R56) w/checkered mirror caps and bonnet stripes. You pulled up next to me at the light on Lehigh and Chestnut @ 11am in Glenview. you looked lost.. I could have given directions if you looked over

Two more sets of MINI headlights, but opposite direction and between darkness and rain I couldn't really identify them better,one was West Chicago area, the other was just north of Higgns.

 

Spotted a nice classic Mini yesterday on Fabian Pkwy near Rt 31.

Got a big wave from a topless CR cabrio (probably an S) around 11:45am on Kirk between Pine St. and Rt 56. My passenger (maybe a future MINI owner) got a kick out of us waving

 

No, I did not spot any MINIs today, I just wanted to post that I drove my car today!!! For all you folks that think it is not driven in winter are wrong. It was cold but dry and all the rain has gotten most of the salt off the roads. I went through the high speed S on Jericho that some of you may remember from the BBQ drive and then down Clark also from the BBQ drive.

Tomorrow the car will be moved from the garage to the shop so I can start getting it ready for the trade show the weekend of the 19th!

 

Congratulations!! I think I have had more miles on my motorcycle this winter than you have had in your MINI (I was out for a long soggy ride Sunday morning, and a bit on x-mas day)

I've only been commuting in my Cooper and haven't had any waves in a while.

Yes, I am sure you have more miles on the bike than I have on the MINI. I also drove mine on Christmas day. One time in December and hopefully more than one time this month too!

 

Got a look from a guy in a BRG MCSc heading out of Dunkin Donuts on Rt. 41 this morning, plus spotted a Red Bull MINI on Rt. 22.

 

Hey all, I just picked up my 04 MCS two days ago. It's red with a white roof and white mirrors

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for fellow Mini's

I always pass a gray MCS parked at Benedictine University in Lisle. Anyone here?

@ 5:45p yesterday a IB/W MCS with real dark tint windows heading north on 294 crossing over 290. Had lower fogs on too.

 

Saw a beautiful GP outside the PetsMart in Kildeer this afternoon. Needed a CMMC sticker :-)

 

Spot about 2-3 a day but I'm usually in my car (Golf TDI that handles like my wifes S). If you see a guy in a Silver 2 door Golf waving its me LOL

 

See a ton around the Schaumburg area (might help there's a dealership there), too many to note. For some reason always seem to see at least one at the Barnes and Noble on Golf Rd. One time, when I was in the parking lot, one left and another came in at the same time, like there had to be one and it was coming in to replace it. Okay, maybe that's stretching it, but yeah

 

PW/B MSC @ 9:30 heading west on Rt. 34 in Oswego in front of BestBuy. Though it was Danhawk but noticed it was a woman driver. No wave she was too focused driving.

I followed an 02-04 Black MCS with white roof, white wheels, white door stripe, and aftermarket exhaust for a few miles on 290 west about 8:30 this morning.
