Parked next to some MINIs in Geneva this morning!

Went out this morning for some Great Harvest bread and some coffee in downtown Geneva ... and look what I parked next to

When I parked, the two closest to my PW were there. When I was leaving, the HB had joined us.

As I was taking pictures, several people slowed down to look and smile at all of our MINIs! It's was nice to see a few MINIs in Geneva like this. And it was all by chance (well for me at least)

That is pretty amazing for a town the size of Geneva.

I'll be in Geneva tomorrow and will be glad to add my EB to the pic.

Spotted! Black/Black MINI eastbound on Ballard Rd. in Des Plaines at 830am today. You made a left turn onto East River Rd while I waited at the light to continue west. Beautiful car!

CHGO-LAND mini owners were's the love?

Sorry to snivel, but I've had my Mini for roughly 4 months
and in that time only 2 Mini drives have given it up. WTF?
Maybe it's the area I live? I live in Deefield and work in
Evanston. I pass on average 1-2 a day and not even a nod.
If I pull up to one on the expway or at a stop light, I look
over for a nod. NADA. I came up to a 3-way stop today
around 5:10 in Deerfield and a woman with same set up
MSC Dark silver (she was to my left) I think her plates are
COOPER S Not even a glance and as I looked to get a reaction
she sped up. What gives? I didn't get this car to be part of
anything but it is cool to know there is a community out there.
Where are the fun-loving, happy-go-luck ones?
Or are the majority or owners in this area just wound too tight?

Again sorry to gripe, it's just one of those things.
Studog

LOL i hear you! When our 2 weeks or so of "Spring" shows up, it takes a LONG time for that cold road otherwise known as I-94, to warm up.

Don't give up,

I saw so many Minis today that I decided to take a movie of them!

If you were on the Spring Drive today there's a high likelihood that you're in it.

Enjoy!

Have you had a day recently where you have not seen any MINI's other than your own? Now I am talking about a day that you have been out and about driving. I would say ordinarily I see at least a couple MINIs during the course of the day.

Today I drove from my home to downtown Chicago and then back home again. It is about a 40 mile drive. I have not seen one MINI all day. That is pretty odd. I make this drive a couple times a month and I would say typically I will see anywhere from 4 to 10 MINI's along the way or in the parking garage.

It struck me as pretty odd since as we all know the more time goes on, the more common the MINI's get and the more of them we see.

Saw two today - well three if you include mine. A classic CR/W with 15" holies going west ahead of me on Grand (Rt. 132) and a silver S going north on Rt. 45 towards Grand. Flashed at the silver S but maybe too late for the driver to notice.
And, about 20 more at Knauz waiting to be driven. So I guess that makes up for all of you that didn't see one today.

When I'm driving either I don't see a single Mini or I see a complete butt load of them, it's quite strange.

yah, I got pretty tired of waving without any love back. We really need a way to set it up such that it's easy for us to identify each other.

You should get a motoring ID and put it on your car. I did it and I have yet to see another Mini with one. I was actually thinking of taking it off because everyone asks what MPH112 means.

A custom grille badge with your club logo would help out a bunch!
