Spotted, a CR MCc in Yorkville waiting to turn on to route 47 this morning. I did not wave as I was in the truck.

 

Yesterday a DS/W MCS with white bonnet stripe's heading north on 294 @ 17:30 just passing Grand ave. (Amazing what one sees when stopped heading south).

@ 6:30 CR/B MC on Lake Cook sitting in traffic by 53
@ 11:45 Spotted a CR/B with Xenons pulling out of Fenton Communitity HS

 

Saw a whole bunch of MINIs this morning far too many to remember each one, got a few waves, I drove to Waukeagen then down to Evanston, so if you were on/around Sheridan Rd. between 9:30 and 12:30 there is a good chance we crossed paths.

 

@ 5:45am, a DS/B MCS on Eola Rd heading south in Aurora. No wave back.

 

Got my tire pressure checked, oil and fluid level checked, gonna pull out
my MCS in a few. hope to see you guys out there this Sat morning!

ill be cruising down through Alrington Hts, Palatine, Barrington/SouthBarrington area, also Schaumburg.

 

so I spotted a CR MCc driving north infront of me on Arlington Hts road
around 9am in ElkGrove with its topdown a guy driving with his lady
in the passenger seat.

im about 2.5 sec behind going a hair below the speed limit. just
cruising along, minding my own business. obviously the two in front
of me are aware that im behind them. there's also cars around me.

with no warning, the MCc's driver goes over a road kill and sure his
bone stock car might be able to clear the opposom, but obviously
mine can't. i got no where to go, but to slow down a hair...
CRUNCH!!! frickin hitting my aero bumper's lower lip.
he could've at least slowed down, gone around it, flashed his
hazards, or even waved to get my attention for a quick heads up.

come on, if you want to be a motorer, look out for your MINI buddies
around you, you friggen selfish bonehead!

luckily, my car appears to be okay. ok, end of rant.

 

Hope the possum admired your aero kit close up. Not fun running over live or dead road kill.

 

@12:30ish a LY/B MCS heading north on 294 near O'Hare...followed by a CR/W MCS a couple minutes back while I was heading south.

 

Saw many very clean MINI Cooper S's today around Chicago.

1. EB/W - Lake Shore Drive
2. PH/B - Lake Shore Drive
3. IB/B with two badges on grill and a dragon slayer decal across windshield. Followed each other for a few miles - Lake Shore Drive

Saw all three of those within 30 seconds! Mine was the only one that was NOT clean (but I have an excuse, I am from out of town ).

Finally, on my way home from the Wrigley Field Tour, I saw a fellow JB/JB MINI on the Dan Ryan.

All very nice MINIs! I wonder if any of them belong to someone on here...

 

Darn!!! If we hadn't been caught in traffic, you would have seen 3 more MINIs... you saw Adam, Mr RCH and MINI_Mark. We were going home after the CMMC Indiana Run this morning. I was in a 2nd group that had a DS/W, BRG/G and CR/W. Hope you enjoyed your stay in the Windy City

 

I knew something had to be going on! Three shiny MINI's in a row just doesn't happen. I wish I would have known about the run. I would have loved to come...oh well. Hope you guys had fun .

We had 13 MINIs show up. 4 LY MINIs.. VERY unusual, but very cool

 

Spotted a 02-03 JB MC @ 9:45 on 12 in Wacconda by Old McHenry road, I was in the van heading out west, I waved but you couldn't see me through the cell phone (I had my Cooper hat on so there was still hope), saw a PS/PS with black bonnet stripes going east on 88 around 11-1300 and a BRG/Checkerboard in Iowa (headed east so still hope of a Chicagoian(sp?))

Also saw an F430 and Lotus Elise while traveling today, not MINIs but noteable cars.

 

I saw chequedmini at about 6:00 on Edens at Old Orchard zipping by at a high rate of speed.

I was a moving roadblock in my family Subaru at the time..

 

I'll be in Chicago until July 7th so I will be sure to keep an eye out for any events if you guys are having any.

 

I saw a IB MINI on Route 31 in Crystal Lake. I saw it late and got a wave and I missed waving back (well I waved but too late, it was past me by then). I hate when that happens.

 

Caught a BRG MCS on Dundee in Palatine last night, had a quick chat at the light. If you're here, enjoy your new wheels!

 

Got a wave from a SB/W MCS this morning on Edens with a CMMC sticker on the back. I didn't recognise who it was though...

 

Ernesto you beat me too it...Although Buster is Hyper B/W. You didnt recognize me from the club because I havent been able to make any events yet...I drive the edens everyday most of the time it is about 0530 in the morning though. Is that your normal drive? or were you on your way up to Knauz?

Sorry about the color mixup.. I work in Bannockburn (Waukegan and Rt. 22), so I take Edens up in the morning, and Waukegan home. I was about 10 minutes earlier than normal today, but it was neat to see you!!

it's been a while! I've been driving the MINI all of last week and this week and I've only spotted you once. good to see ya as well and thanks for the wave.

 

No worries...I was actually later...usually my schedule can be sporadic and if there is no traffic well...dont blink..

 

Kenchan - I've got the exact same IB/B MCS that you do....and I live in Schaumburg (Around 90 and Roselle) how come I never see you?!??!?
