No idea on that one, but I would think they do. From what my MA said, the trucking company doesn't though. Wish I knew for sure.

I'm betting pretty much all of us should be getting our MINI's this week though, so the wait is almost over.

Great news indeed! Is there a new ETA listed in the REVIEW ORDER DETAILS section of the OL? If there is, that should be the ETA for arrival at the dealership.

What I suspect is, the status gets changed to at VDC after it leaves the VDC. Emily has checked with her MA and supposedly her Mini wasn't showing up on the report for the shipping company but I suspect like everything else, it is slow to update. If the MA checked today, it would probably list it. Or at the very least, when the status updates to at VDC and there is an ETA listed, the Mini is already scheduled for pick up by the trucking carrier which why they are able to post the ETA.

Well, they should be. Unfortunately, BMW doesn't seem to think it important to train them at anything -- least of all MINIs. My MA was complaining that in spite of repeated requests for information on the R56, they often find out about the state of options when a customer comes to pick one up.

 

Oh jeez I just checked the OL review details order and it has an ETA of 7/29... ... ... I think I need to change my boxers... BRB

Hiyo! Nope, not yet. I was in San Diego this whole weekend so I was able to get some relief from my MOCD . I'm going to give my MA a call tomorrow to see what's up. Any update from your end?

 

No update for me, but I knew as much when I spoke to my MA on Friday. My big question is whether they are going to have wonderful news for me tomorrow. impatient Fingers (and toes) crossed.

I too will be talking with my MA tomorrow but I'm curious to find out what the responses every one else gets. I'm really hoping the ETA in the OL is accurate for the delivery at the dealer. Any confirmation would be extremely appreciated.

 

I got an email from my MA, no firm date yet. But he knows how excited I am to take delivery and he indicated he'll do his best to rush it through their shop. If it arrives at the dealership tomorrow, I should be able to pick her up the tail end of this week.

With my wife's work schedule I had to take a gamble that it'll be Friday. She isn't able to switch her schedule easily so if it isn't Friday, I won't be able to pick up Demi until sometime next week.

 

I don't remember Gary... are you having anything installed at the Dealer?

 

AHHHHH! It's in! My MA said it came in 2 days ago but the JCW aero kit wasn't installed. So he said they're ordering the kit today and it'll take 2 days for it to come in then they have to paint it and yada yada yada... But it's HERE!!! Unix call them, there's a good chance yours is there as well.

 

Wow, I'm so glad I don't have any dealer installed options. I could not possible stand knowing that my car is at the dealer, but can't be picked up yet!!!

Dan, my MA at Rasmussen, is rightfully not commiting to a date for me yet. He is waiting until it actually arrives at the dealership, which according to the OL is tomorrow.

Intendoe, you'll probably be able to take delivery the first of next week then. From what I understand it takes quite a bit of time to install the JCW Aero kit. I feel your pain.

 

Hey Intendoe (what's your name if you don't mind?... Mine is Emily), that really bites having hopes built up only to be dashed with an extra wait.

I'm at the point now of asking them to skip setting up the roof rack I ordered. I figure the installation will cost the same if I do it later.

 

So, OL says delivery date of 07/29/07 and my MA just called to schedule delivery Wednesday at noon (he said that the truck will be there Tuesday night) I'm so excited...I can't wait to see pictures of our new babies!!!

Unfortunately, though, that information puts a kink into how things have been working so far. The OL has an ETA of 7/29 and your MA said it would arrive 7/31.

It's curious to me also that many of you are getting scheduled to take delivery the following day after your Mini arrives at the dealership. I wonder how thorough they are being in checking it and getting it detailed for you.
