.....then you could make it to MITM II !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an awesome way to break in your new baby!!!
I would absolutely love to but I don't think my wife would go for it. I'm trying to save up my vacation time for a trip to Australia the first part of next year.
The nice thing I noticed (and I'm hoping I'm right) is that there appears to be a single ship already at Port Hueneme and none besides the Isolde en-route. So hopefully no big backlog.
Ohhhh, Catalina...rough seas out there. Glad I'm not onboard. I'd be hurling over the side. I'm sure your MINI is fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine.
Boy, our MINIs would be in bad shape if they didn't have their sea-wheels by now. I'm sure they have stockpiles of mini-dramamine on hand though just in case.
I can just picture a MINI on it's rear tires hurling over the rail of a ship
I see her....vaguely....off in the distance! She's being lead by a team of killer whales, dolphins, and sea lions. Looking good peeps! It won't be long now

Of course they are. It's what they do. They also like to play with their food...
The VDC can commonly take from one day to ten days, depending what what kind of backlog they have, and when your MINI gets off the ship. Then it has to get on a truck for your destination. Sometimes that takes very little time. Sometimes it takes awhile to fill the truck with cars for that distination. Dealers usually take 1 to 3 days to prep a car, but if they are really backed up, it can take a week. It really is a crap shoot.
Here is a screen capture of Port Hueneme, there are several ships there. I'm not sure if the Microshine AIS page shows moored ships or not. I haven't looked at it too closely since AISLive reactivated my trial subscription. The AISLive pages seem to update the quicker so for the most part I've been sticking with it.
Just talked to my MA. She said there were no backed up last week at Hueneme. The delivery time was 3 days from port to Irvine Mini. Hope this is helpful.
I think our mini are holding hands, wishing good luck to each others, and getting ready to jump out from the ships.

I'm boiling the water, the nurses are at the ready, towels abound, and the pharmacist is on stand-by. A natural delivery is better for both owner and MINI, but we have the meds if needed. DrTigs...here to support you!

, I think I'm going to take a small break from watching the slow progress of the Isolde and watch a little bit of OG's DVD on using a PC polisher that I got in the mail today. I'll be back shortly.

I LOVE IT.
Thanks DrTigs. Comforting to know there is a professional at the ready.
Here is the latest from AISLive, from the speed and direction her bow is pointing it looks suspiciously like she's anchored even though AIS reports her as under way using engines. I have to head off to bed soon but I'll get up early and try to check on it just before she is due to arrive at Port Hueneme in just under six hours. Have a great night!!
