Thanks for the info and link.

Not sure how "lucky" we are, we've already endured nearly 3 weeks of torture (**correction, as of today it is three weeks of torture**). It is good to know the end is in sight though.

Not sure what most of that means, other than I'm guessing our MINIs are included in the 858bmw number.

What a lovely visual to have in my mind's eye... thanks!

**As long as the killer whales aren't eating the sea lions.

I just got on a ship in South Hampton heading for Port Hueneme... how long does it take from the time the ship reaches port to get your mini delivered at the dealer. I'm sure it varies... but let's say... a San Francisco dealer?

Can't really answer for sure since I don't have mine yet, but my MA at MINI of Mountain View guesstimated +/-5 days at the VDC + a day or two for transport + a day or two at the Dealer.

I'll definitely post up when I know for sure

I wonder if transport to, and time at, the dealership is optional. I can hear my husband now, "hey, no, no, no, don't sweat it - save yourself the transportation costs and any overheard of the dealership staff - I'll just drive up to the VDC and pick it up there". "Paperwork?...ahhh, yes, the paperwork....tell ya what, we'll drive over to the dealership's financing office AFTER we pick up the MINI at the VDC...mmmmkaaaay"?

You don't think that would work, do ya?

Yes, thank you for the info, it's been a little while since I've been out to the Port Hueneme site.

Here are the latest screen captures from AISLive. They are basically the same but the second one is zoomed in slightly more to so you can see the depths/tides info, I actually think it is the depth information but I'm not 100% positive.

Probably not, otherwise I'd be headed down to Oxnard now.

That would save at least a week or more of my wait time.

It also depends on if you have any options that will be installed at the VDC, but Unixgal's estimation sounds fairly accurate. Emily, aren' they installing the iPod adapter for you at the VDC? As far as I know, I don't have any options being installed there.

Hey Gary, where you been???

Just dawned on me looking at the AISLive info that we're officially due to dock in just under 12 hours.

You trying to burst my bubble about hoping for the 5 days at the VDC?

I'm still going to hope for 5 days... got to have hope... must have hope... must hold on... must stay sane...

It's only been about two hours since my last update . It's not as exciting posting updates when the background in the maps haven't changed a whole lot.

5 days sounds good to me, that will give them about 5-6 days to truck mine up to Portland. I'm still hoping to take delivery the either sometime around Aug 3-6th.

Around the first weekend in August is my realistic hope as well. I keep staring at my wall calendar wishing it will be sooner though.
