R56 Isolde - Expected ETA 7/23 in Port Hueneme
Probably, you'll want to keep it clean...
My MA told me that they won't get my MINI for 2 days after it's released from the VDC since it'll be trucked up to the Bay Area from SoCal. I'm wagering that SimpsonGI and I get ours at roughly the same time, and the SoCal Folks several days sooner.
Well darn it, I was hoping to get one more screen capture from AISfree before I logged out for tonight but I can't seem to find the Isolde anywhere. I hope the Captain turns on the weather reporting system but I doubt it, since there isn't any previous history for the ship on www.sailwx.info. It looks like it will be another wait, it is expected to arrive at the Panama Canal June 15 and the go through the Canal on the 17th.
We can shift our chatting over to the week 26 support group thread until we can get current information on the Isolde itself. I'll be monitoring both topics, of course
. It's been great interacting with you all here!

Hey SimpsonGI... I couldn't resist. I've started an MOCD support group thread:

Ack!! I hope the Panama Canal's daily traffic report http://www.boydsteamship.com/daily_traffic_report.htm is wrong or it gets updated. About in the middle of the page you can find the estimated information on the Isolde. It is due to arrive on the 15th and it appears as if it will have a 5 day wait to make it through the canal. The estimated passage is the AM of July 20th.
I've seen the priority fluctuate on it from 3 to 8. The first time I checked it priority 8, yesterday it was a 3 (when it was a 3 it was estimating a two day wait) and today it is back to 8.

When the Manon goes through it may help give us an idea, they are a week ahead of us and haven't made it to the Canal yet.
. You can join our MOCD support group here https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=106137and don't forget the Week 26 support group which can be found here https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=104830
Unfortunately, I think I'm the furthest away from the VDC in this group so I'll probably be last to get my Mini. But I also don't have anything to be installed at the VDC so mine should make it through there fairly quick.
As you've probably found out, the Isolde has not turned on its weather reporting system so we cannot track it coming across the Atlantic. We are in limbo until it gets close to Panama. Then once it makes it stop there and heads towards the Canal, the wait continues, but at least it should be showing up on AISfree during that time.
Hopefully the Minis are having a good time celebrating the 4th together!
According to the Panama Canal Daily Traffic Report the Isolde is now a day ahead of schedule. It is due to arrive at the Canal on the 14th instead of the 15th and it is scheduled to pass through the Canal in the AM of the 16th (It's priority is now a 6).
The Manon, which is a week ahead of us is now scheduled to arrive at the Canal two days ahead of schedule with the same two day wait to pass through.
So far so good. Go Isolde Go!

I've just found out that my baby is on the Isolde too, did a small NAM search and found you guys! My Motoring Advisor and Ask-Mini didn't know anything so I did some searching on my own thanks to Josh Wardell's tracking page. Surprise, surprise... I had no idea my car had been loaded and shipped
BTW - "MINI OCD" is still available as a California personalized plate. he.he

In Oregon we are limited to 6 letters/numbers. I am getting personalized plates for mine, I thought I had something already picked out but I might go try for MCOCD (Mini Cooper Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) or MOCD (Mini ....)
I'd better not be. I'm the type of person that when my MA calls me to tell me its there, I'll respond, I'll be there in about 2 hours depending on traffic
Unfortunately I'm going to have to work my delivery around my wife's work schedule as I'll need her to drop me off and she'll also need to be there for signing the papers since it will be in both our names.
Oh, and welcome to the Isolde group!
I don't know how long it will be after it arrives to do the dealer installs. I have the aero package and some other things. If you do get there before me make sure you take the right one. We don't want our babies switched at the hospital.
Yes, the Aero package will slow yours down. All of my dealer installed options should take less than an hour (mud flaps and chrome exhaust tips). If yours has more options....

New update from the Panama Canal Daily Traffic Report. The Isolde is still due on the 14th, the rank is now up to priority 5 (it was 6 @ 12 hours ago) but the expected transiting has been bumped a day, its now back to the AM of the 17th.
But, the Manon (which is the ship that left a week before the Isolde) is two days ahead of schedule, they are expected to arrive at the Canal on tomorrow (the 6th) and they had an original ETA of the 8th. They ranked at priority 6 and the expected transiting is the AM of the 9th. They will have about a 24 hour wait to get through the Canal.
What does that mean? That means good news! The Isolde will probably have a shorter wait time than what traffic report is suggesting. Unfortunately we won't really know until about the time it arrives there, but I'm very hopefull that the Isolde will speed right on through it as well.

No new updates on the Isolde, the daily traffic report hasn't changed in regards to the information on it. Has anyone tried signing up for the two week trial of AISLive? I've submitted a request but haven't heard back from them yet. I'm hoping to be able to start the trial on Monday or Tuesday which would make it so it should expire right around the time the Isolde is due at Port Hueneme.
No new updates on the Isolde, it is still on schedule. I'm trying to get signed up for the two week trial to AISLive so I hope to be able to get screen shots of it going through the Canal and reaching Port Hueneme. It appears as if the free version of AISLive doesn't cover those areas.
New update! According to the Daily Traffic report the Isolde is now schedule to arrive at the Panama Canal at approximately 22:00 on July 13th (I'm assuming that would be local time in Panama
). The expected passage through the canal is still saying the AM of July 16th. It looks like the Isolde is putting right along. We might get lucky and get through the canal on the 15th.

Say it ain't so. well I'm going to try and stay positive. Again, thanks for the update, even if not good.
