I am hoping to pick up my baby the DAY it rolls off the truck! LOL!

 

I've been consistently told a couple of days for them to go the dealer inspection process and to be detailed.

My dealership could be estimated on the high side just to prevent any let down of it not being ready on time. I'll let you know as soon as I find out though.

 

OL status changed to ETA 08/03/2007 on yesterday (Sun). Went to dealer Sat. early morning to check and confirmed no new cars arrived. And then, I drove 100 to port Hueneme and took some pictures. No Mini that I could see. Just Volvo.

Oh, I just happened to check the OL again. It is listing a new ETA for arrival at the dealer, it is now showing an ETA of today (7/30/07) so it seems like it may have gotten delivered to the dealer sometime late this afternoon. I'll check with my MA again tomorrow (probably several times ).

 

I also noticed they have a video available for me now in the OL in the at VDC section, I'll have to play it in the morning.

Pictures will be loaded tonight. I spent all day yesterday dealing with selling my element and waiting for someone to drive me from one side of town to the other, completing my paper work... Left the dealership at 6pm, and was too exhausted to take pictures.

07 MCS, Darks Silver-Black roof, Premium and Sport Pkg, LSD, Punch Leather, Sport Suspension, Premium sound, Roof rack.

Warning it is so hard to keep it under 4500rpm. Six speed is great, just a little getting used to after driving a 5 speed for so long.

 

Long day for sure... that's pretty much how my pickup day will go too.

CONGRATULATIONS, you are our first confirmed proud MINI parent. I'm sure I speak for others in saying we'll be looking forward to seeing your baby pictures.

 

Sorry I haven't posted pics yet! I just picked up my little Maus from the dealer last night as the sun was dropping. I took three pics inside the showroom, but they were kind of dark. I'm going to take a bunch outside today and post them asap!!! And I agree with the good Reverend, this damned car mooooves. I'm trying really hard to be good..honest

RH, congratulations on the MINI driving experience. I know what you mean about the 4500, oh but wait until you have 1500+ like I do now. What a HOOT! I had the opportunity to crank pretty hard yesterday leaving the E470 service center (new license plate toll thingy). I let the engine breathe, oh what a sound. Very Nice. I dropped back to a nice sedate pace after 3rd gear 5500. Hummmm...

Just got off the phone with Ben at MOMV... my baby isn't released from the VDC yet. He said so many people are having things installed at the VDC (which they weren't prepared for) that there is a delay of around 2 days.

I'm trying to stay hopeful that I'll get to bring my baby home by, or on, the weekend.

Recommendation: buy some floor mats while you are at the dealer. Ask for a discount. I don't know the percentage that the parts guy gave me, but it was about ten dollars or so off of the original price.
