R56 Isolde - Expected ETA 7/23 in Port Hueneme
Yes, I am Mike
. I'm scheduled to take delivery at 4:30 this afternoon. My wife's R53 is due it's oil change so we are dropping it off at 2:00 PM, going out for a late lunch then back to the dealership to pick up Demi.
I will of course take pics. I'll have them posted by midnight tonight. I probably won't get back home until around 8-9 PM.

Yay Gary !!!!!
Gary, I'm soooooo excited for you.

This is great news. Do you have a fun route home planned, or are you going to slab it?
I'm going to be up waiting to see the pictures of Demi, so don't forget to post them.
btw... Samwise is on a truck that should arrive at the dealer today. If it's before noon, I should be able to pick him up tomorrow. If it's after noon, I'll have to wait for Monday. Either way, Sam will be home soon too.

Unfortunately, no, I don't have a fun route planned for my drive home because of two reasons. The first being my dogs will probably be crossing their legs by the time I make it home just by driving home on I-5. The second is, no clear bra yet. I'm taking it in to my local installer Monday morning to have the Venture Shield product installed. Until then, Demi isn't going to see much road time.
I don't want to get a rock chip before the bra is put on so I'm going to err on the side of caution
. I have to say though, I'm absolutely giddy with excitement.Hopefully you'll get your call today Emily
. It's been a long wait for all of us.
Thanks rattmobbins! Your Mini should make it through the VDC fairly quickly, it doesn't look like you have any options that would installed there. Mine made it quicker than most of our group since I didn't have anything installed at the VDC. Yours is at the VDC now correct?
So Gary, you must be hitting the road in the next hour or so to Portland, yes? I can imagine the excitement you must be feeling. So do you think you'll be able to get a glimpse of her when you drop off your wife's R53 before you go to lunch?
Ooooh the drama and excitement is palpable.

We'll be leaving a couple of minutes before noon. According to our Nuvi 360 it will take us 1 hr and 40 minutes to get there, unless we run into a lot of traffic. I padded the time by 20 minutes to allow for any traffic delays.
I'm certainly going to look around and let my MA know I'm there, who knows, it may actually be ready when we arrive at 2....

Can't wait to see the pics of your car.
heheh I bet Gary's FREAKING out right about now! I'd venture to bet he's not the only one crossing his legs too! heheh
Cant wait to see pics Gary!
Emily... you KNOW you have to post pics TOO! I'm trying to get all the Lib pics I can

So no excuses, pictures via your geek phone at 1:01 pm.
Yes, you admitted you were a Geek somewhere on NAM, I know you did.
Congrats Emily, have a great delivery and tell us about that drive home you have planned. Santa Cruz Mountain roads, if I remember correctly.
Drive safe, not slow.

Between Gary getting his today and thinking about getting mine tomorrow I'm a basket case (but in a good way
).I should have photos up within an hour or so of getting home, however I'm taking a very scenic 150+ mile route home through the twisties so the exact time I'll be non-committal about.

Provided it isn't foggy along the coast tomorrow afternoon, I should have some very nice photos for Sam's first jaunt in the hills.
Too exciting.

Have fun and be safe.
I'll ask Sam about her - I bet they were happy to see each other again after getting separated at the VDC. I'm sure she's fine in her incubator and knows her daddy will be coming to take her home as soon as she's ready.
Here is the link to her introduction.
