I've been checking out exhaust systems. rspeed, rogue and remus. I can't tell which system sounds best, but rogue makes the best video samples therefore the best sounding exhaust. I wonder if anyone has listened to them in real life and can compare?

I am also wondering if by bike rack that fits my VW will work on the mini.

Was able to save big bucks on a nav system by getting a gps reciever on Ebay for about a hundred bucks to go with my pda.

lots of updates, cool stuff! I dig the Lapis shift ****/boot and the Lapis handbrake too. I'd like to get 'em, but for my application (with Space cloth) they might look out of place. I would definitely buy shift/handbrake boots made from Alcantara (in same color as space cloth gray)

Ok, now that I caught my breath!
I'm a college student too, though not for long. The mini actually is going to be a graduation preseant to me from the family, which is why I don't think I'll be getting any aftermarket stuff; anything I'd want is soo expensive(100 bucks for 2 stinking chrome side grills!!!?) and I'm going to have a hard enough time just paying the insurance.
Anyway, I HAVE been spending a lot of time around here lately and I think I'm going to have to cut back since I really need to get my act together before graduation. No exams to study for, I'm in art school, for Illustration, but I do have two huge thesis projects, that I have berely dented into( One's a play-sets, costumes, posters, programs etc.-and the other's a young adult novel that requires about 50 illustrations). So yeah, that's me if anyone's interested. Got to go eat launch before I get on the subway to go to school, since my car is literally burried in the snow!

Hey Wags, my little sister wants to go into psychology, she wants to be a criminal profiler. Any recomendations for her? I think she really wants to go to Yale! I couldn't even imagine that!

Rat,

I'm jealous. We are both scheduled for March 7 production week, but I called today and I'm still at 112.

Hopefully my Mini will follow Flo down the manufacturing line soon.

Ok, I don't know if anyone has talked about this or come up with this or not. What would it take to get a MINI here in the states with right side stearing. I wonder if one would have to buy the car overseas and have it shiped here and how much it would cost to do so. Just a thought.

I think you would have to buy in England or some other wrong side country to get a wrong side drive car. Probably cost prohibitive. I believe the DOT might have issues to but I am not sure.

On a side note Lots of good new's here today Yippeeee!!! MINIJAMIE got the job she has been waiting to hear about. They say good things come in 3's guess I will buy a lottery ticket on the way home.

Have a great day all!!!

I have updated the Ultimate MINI Users Guide if you would like to take a look at it.

It has pretty much everything you need to know before and after you own your MINI.

does anybody have the list of the names of the wallenius boats?
they update their schedule on thursdays, and they have boats leaving southampton on feb. 25, 26, march 2, 5, and 12. i've got the abbreviations for them here, but not the full names...

they seem to be moving right along on Morgan, so hopefully we'll make the boat leaving the 2nd...let's all go together!

i dont have the call sign, i have the abbreviation, i just cant find an name that fits...
JGM is the abbreviation that doesnt go with any of the names in the fleet, that's the one that leaves on the 2nd, which hopefully Morgan, and the rest of our minis, will be aboard!

My dealer is about 3 minutes from my house. I like to drive through the lot and ogle the minis. Can't get enough of them - they just make you smile. My hubby has indulged me a few times when we travel together, we take the "long way" somewhere, just to pass the dealership. There is a great electric blue S there now. Whew! I haven't taken another test drive since I ordered though. I'm afraid Ill just wanna drive it home! I wish I could have seen the lot after the blizzard! Had to be funny!

I've only been to the dealer once since I ordered, but that's simply because all of them are pretty far and out of reach for me. I do basically stalk all the three minis that I tend to see at my school or in my neibhorhood!

Here's a question for all of us still in school: Does anyone at your school currently drive a mini?
I've got one freshaman who drives a BRG/W cooper with the nav, and there is a Faculty/Staff member(I only know them by their parking pass) who has a stripped down Black/W cooper. I've debated leaving them notes, but haven't gotten around to it yet...any suggestions?
