Morgan hit 150 on Valentines day!!! things are ahead of schedule, i'm so excited!

male. is the cooper a girly car? only in the sense that they appear attractive, i dont think a man or a woman would be more inclined than another to purchase one, so long as they both have taste.

i'm gonna tint the windows...she'll be so hard to see in the dark!

You know, the "is it a girly car?" question is really kinda funny. Do you think there is a single girl out there, running around and freaking out because someone called their car manly? It's totally one of those society's double standard things. If a guy drives a girly car, he's pathetic but if a girl drives a manly car, she's hot right? Ha-ha!!!! Finally, we're getting you guys back for the "reputation" double standard!

>>I cannot imagine the frustration of a 4-6 month wait.>>

Oh paleeeese! Try 12 months! That's the S wait period at Long Beach MINI and most other non-price gouging dealers here in the West Coast.

Girly car? While at a High School football game last October one of my lame friends saw the DS/B MCS parked out front and said "is that one of those new electric cars?"

I don't care what they call it, electric, girly, clown car, etc. These "name callers" notice the big smile on MINI driver's faces and I think it kills them.

Here's to big smiles for all of us soon!

...i wanna see a picture of our cars being built...wouldnt that be great?

Yo! Everyone should be educated in the fashion of MINI assembly at Oxford, England.

MINI Assembly Education!

Enjoy! I still love watching this sequence, even after the 6th time; great music too!

There should be a live webcam on the assembly line. I know I would be watching on 3/14.

Laughter is the best medicine! My first Mini (1966 S) did not have a radio. And not one person asked about it. They were too busy laughing! Wheeeee!

Read in one of my MINI books that MINI USA anticipates about 98 percent of US buyers will have contrasting roofs... looks like we're falling towards that trend, with only 3 body colored roofs (10.7%)... I for one like my all PS color... haven't seen too many around in person or on here, and think it makes the huge sunroof stick out more, which i like.

I seem to be among two of the minority groups... 1 of 2 CVTs, and 1 of 3 body colored roofs... sure no one cares, but whatever, i don't feel like working...

Greetings once again, fellow finally-gettin-it-in-April companions

Catching up on the latest data - I am 42, but act more like I'm 23 since I drove a Mini. I am a legal drug-pusher, and work as a hospital pharmacist. As far as the Mini being a girrly car, I agree wholeheartedly with what Katie said. Serves us right.

Incidently, I was talking to an acquaintance today, who said she couldn't believe that I would trade a Lexus for a Mini. She drove one, and said it was like driving a shoebox on a skateboard. I said yes - isn't it great? Of course, she can't wait to trade her Grand Cherokee for an Expedition. Some people just aren't meant for a mini - and should not ever be permitted to drive one, if you ask me.

Phil

Nobody elese finds it interesting that there are always 10 more mcs's than mc's in our club? Seriously, with every tally Ryan's done....I believe the fist total we had was 4 coopers 14 cooper s, then we went to 6 to 16, and then 2 days ago it was 8 to 18 and now 9 to 19. I just think that's so wierd!

Excellent color choice, only one thing is making me question your sanity, You are REPLACING a Miata!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't do it. Find a way to keep them both. You will need prozac and yrs of counseling if you get rid of the Miata. They are both small, you can find room. Think about what your doing man get a grip on yourself!!!
Sorry just my humble opinion,

Welcome to the CWFAC

That is a bit odd.. and that's the reverse of how MINI is making the models, as I read that they're producing 60% MCs and 40% MCS... for us, we've got 67.8% MCS'.. which puts me in another slight minority of MCs. That might be part of the reason why i sailed through the production process so quickly..

off to school...

YIPEE!! I just got my production number!!! 3718461!!!
The only problem is that I tried setting up an account on the owners lounge and when I fill out my name, address, etc and then click on continue it sends me to the same page, where I filled out my name and address, it never moves on to the next step. Any suggestions?

Kelisa, congats! You might not be filling everything out correctly: try again and pay attention!

The whole MC+10=MCS is too wierd, I agree! We're definitely the coolest CWFxClub to date I love Wags' percentages, I'm getting a laugh everytime

An intereresting observation; a few days ago, I saw an auto transporter carrying a load of new Jaguar [pronounced Jag-you-are, of course] sedans. An impressive sight, except that all 9 of them were silver, with identical wheels. NO individuality whatsoever.

Notice the difference with us; EVERY damn MINI is different; colors, options, stripes, no stripes, chrome, no chrome, these wheels, those wheels, on and on. WE ARE THE RUGGED INDIVIDUALISTS - NOT SUV DRIVERS!

They told me 150 next week to. Do you think they could do some performance mods on the transport ships? Maybe an intake and exhaust upgrade?

it's an interesting trend here on the board that there seem to be more Cooper S's than Coopers, but it seems to happen with nearly every enthusiast board that I've stumbled across. The most popular Audi boards are the same way as well: vastly more people representing the minority car (say the S4) versus the others (the A4). Maybe it's because there are just plain more people with the 'lower-end' models who don't car about the whole community thing or never got into the performance aspects. Maybe they're just out there with giant grins on their faces while those with the S's are fretting about more mods (I AM kidding, of course). It's a level of interest thing, I think.

This isn't coming out well at all. I need to call MINI and ask them where my car is.

It's better than a hit of caffeine.
