hmmmmm looks like about 20 folks on the list. 70 dealers 30 cars per dealer per month that means there are 190 lost souls out there that have not found solice here, we must allpitty them. (bet Ruan is relieved)

 

Called MINI this am. status 112 prod date 3/7 dealer SF MINI. They said it should move to status 150 last week of feb.

Oh know I knew I'd do this to myself! Why am I sooooooo indecisive?
Just called askmini, I'm at status 150, and I don't think I want to be there!

 

I live in CT but am from Maryland, so my first trip will be home to Baltimore!! Then a trip to Foxwoods (Casino)!! Yipee!!

 

I Can never make up my mind for sure about options either. It's so hard. Thats how I found this site - looking for opinions. Any MINI is a good MINI though. You can't go wrong.

 

Well finally got a hold of my motoring advisor. He said he hadn't heard anything about those new options, and it is too late to change my order anyway
On the bright side, my mini is officially in production! She'll be here before I know it

Well I guess I should add myself to the list.

I special ordered a mini cooper on January 20th:

yellow with white roof
red cloth interior
anthracite
computer
sport seats
spoiler
fog lights
sport sus plus
16" X lite wheels

Its supposed to arrive mid to end of April.......no idae, dealer hasn't given me my order number and I am not sure I can track it anyway because I am in Calgary Alberta Canada and I don't think in Canada that you can track it.

Still can't waite.

YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! Oops sorry about that.

I just called ASKMINI and I am at 150! Not much longer. My dealer says that it should come into Newark, NJ. It generally comes to the dealership on the same day it goes on the truck. Anyone know how long it takes on the boat to get to Newark?

Also, I want to add racing lights and I'm getting quoted $650 installed from the dealer. Can I do better?

ok im now PISSED. My dealer poked the poch on my car. they got the keledo red wrong and put in letheret insted. When they went to change it it changed on the owners lounge, and every thing was fine. When my car went into production it defalted back to black leatheret. not they have reorded my car and gave me a new production number.(3705493) now with a production date of 03/21/03. A freaking month. sorry everyone I just had to vent a little.

I know the little one is going to arrive while I am out of town on business. That would really drive me nuts!

There is no typical time frame from production to vpc. You could wait in England for a month (like me) or get right on the boat hours after arriving at the port (other MINIs did that while I waited, then you could get through the VPC and to the dealer in three days (again I did this) or you could wait on the dock for weeks and then be in teh vpc for weeks and then on a truck like others on this site. It is all relative, wait there or wait here, I see that no matter what happens you are going to go nuts waiting somewhere.

That said, Dupont announced that silver is the #1 most popular color for cars right now. That's followed in order by white and black. Green, which was popular in the '90s, has fallen down the list. Hmmmm. Well, silver certainly seems to be the most popular color in the April Club.
