ZERO YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOO CLOSE!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if this will make you feel any better, but I just checked the cargo list for the Jngu, and while I couldn't find you on there, I did see TC44203, TC44204 and TC44209!!!!!!!!! They were all added last night(though they are waitlisted), so if you make it down there today or tomarrow, you still just might make it. My fingers are crossed!

Rat, I just checked for you, but unfortunately the closest number to you on the list right now is TD66370.

The tracking feature is not case sensitive and for future reference(for everyone) when you sign in, and you are actually booked, it takes you to a page that tells you the boat, it's voyage number, when you were booked, when you arrived etc. etc. etc. It also gives you a booking number, which for the Jingu Maru is: GBSOU113227. If you copy/paste it, you can click "Track by Booking Number" and that will take you to the list of all the "cargo" currently booked on the ship. It also tells you what cargo is waitlisted. As of this moment, there 397 cars booked on the Jingu.

My sis-in-law, Vera, lives on 5th St South of 7th Ave. She has a Chili Red Cooper with black bonnet stripes. She has long wild dark drown hair. If you see her, say hello. She also scoots around town on a Vespa. She's very hip!

I'M GOING ON THE JINGU MARU!!!!! Voyage EQ306-JGM!!! My CR was received at the terminal last night at 9:24 pm! God bless them all for working late! It looks like the Jingu leaves on Monday for the Big Apple. Let's hope more of us make it on!!!

Thats only 29 VIN's from a boat ride on the Jingu Maru!!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed for now, Maybe nothing is getting updated until Monday morning and FLO could be on her way to the Docks. Yesterday I called and they told me status 152 I think whatever the train one is, but then corrected herself and said Paint Shop, Calm down sir it will be OK,

 

Ok - I am a little sleepy - I didn't notice til now that I am waitlisted for Jingu.

 

Congrats Kelisa, and don't worry about being waitlisted. I was waitlisted too for the first day or two. Also there's another boat, the Taka-something, that leaves like one day later than the Jingu. Although I'm sure my mini really wants all of you mini's on the same boat with it--one big sea faring, april loving, mini party!

 

I had a page that listed all those Ships and when they leave. But I can't find it now. I was hoping Flo could try those auto dipping mirrors on the Jingu Maru.

They may have to! Our Carmen MINIs were 2 days late getting into NYC because of a bad Atlantic storm. I understand they were VERY scared

 

Let's hope the storms are kept to a minimum

Factory is 24x7, VPC is 16x5, and sometimes on Fridays.

According to the Mini manufacturing plant web site, they operate three shifts a day (24hrs), 7 days a week.

I also found out from one of the books on the new mini that the painting process is an 8 stage process that takes 10 hours. Given that some April club members sat at 152 for a few days I think askmini is not always updated realtime.

I recomend a thorough exploration, as I seem to discover exciting things on the site all the time. I'm not sure as to how it is you actually track the ship though but I guess I'll be crossing that bridge soon...

 

Rataha will be on the TAKASAGO, leaving Southhampton on March 3rd, arriving in New York March 12th, yay!!

Bookmark the link Katie put above, and when you get your VIN, do a "Track By" "Auto" and type in your last 7 characters (not case sensitive?). If you're not at status 193+, nothing will come up (DUH!)
