Bryan, you won't be able to see your shipping status on the boat until Status 193.

brgmini12723: I elected not to have DRL's activated. I do think they look a bit wussy, plus, if I wanted my headlights on, I would turn them on myself With our contrasting white roofs, I doubt visibility will be an issue with road-moron's. I think it's good to have lights on during dawn and dusk, because of sun glare. I don't feel a need to have them on all the time.

I have them activated on the Cooper, I do think it is a good safety feature. They can be annoying sometimes. I suppose they are kinda girly, but what the heck I like girly cars

Thanks Ryephile, I got that site already. It does seem that once a car leaves the factory grounds, MINI pretty much looses track of it. MINI's site still says I'm somewhere in England, W&W shows where I really am.

I'm looking for a site that tracks a ship as it sails across the ocean, something like the flight tracking sites do for planes.

it's 1am there and i'm still not on the boat. how come TC44209 got on first? my numbers lower! (by one, but...)

sigh...the takasago leaves in a couple days, morgan will make it on that one i'm sure. bye katie's mini, it was fun waiting at the docks together!

Hi - It is basically a theory - came up with it by looking at a couple of dealers that have their inventory listed online - and organized by the last 7 numbers of the VIN. ALL of the MC started with TC, and ALL of the MCS with TD. I know that niellomini.com was one of them, can't remember the other, but they were both very consistent.

The Jingu Maru call sign is JPPT.

The ultimate boat tracking guide shows how to generate maps of the ships progress.

It is pretty easy to generate maps showing where the ships are.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to track the Jingu Maru. I've tried to no avail since it left Germany on the 27th. Of all the links from Webb's Ultimate Mini guide, nothing has turned up. JPPT can't be found on any map, and there is no long./latt. info for it. I've heard that some ships just don't report any info, so maybe that's the case for the Jingu, but that's awfully dissapointing.

Asodestrom, have you actually found anything for the Jingu Maru?
I've also tried tracking the Undine, but I can't even figure out it's call leters, so that doesn't work. :???:

 

I can't find the Undine call letters either. From the shipping company it looks like it is a brand new ship. Maybe the call sign will come up soon.


I couldn't find any info on the Jingu Maru either. Has it left port yet?
I was able to track the Don Quixote.

I will keep trying.

About the tracking of boats... The carmen (my boat) was unable to be tracked during its voyage, and others also stopped reporting their locations as well. No one really knows why, i don't think. So it may be that they've stopped (?) or something. Of course it didn't stop me from trying twice a day. The WW website updates pretty regularly as far as arrival times to ports, and they are fairly accurate. The Carmen had to avoid a storm at sea, so her arrival date was pushed back two days and arrived that day.

As for Winnie, I just called ASK MINI, but she's still hangin at the docks waiting to go to the VPC, but hopefully will get pushed over there today, and make it through relatively quick, let's hope anyway...

As for the rest of you, good luck on your loooong voyages, thank goodness for MCO to help time pass..

I am normally optimistic, but joined the May club as to not get my hopes up. My production date is 3/21. What is the average time to delivery most people are experiencing in the Southeast part of the States? What is the shortest time anybody has heard of (just to help dream a little)? Thanks for any input.
