[gasp!] Sorry Jeremy, I went back and edited it for ya!

Zero, here's another "too expensive" idea: Sport Muffler $675
I dig: Chrome mirrors, white indicators, chrome exhaust tip, SS foot rest, panther shift ****, and hand brake. Those things (plus your mats) total $483.25 (plus install charges [suck]). You could do Driving Lights ($400), or a roof graphic (checkered, $180), or the fitted luggage ($467), or the white taillights (413), or a roof spoiler ($270), or (my favorite recommendation) just the side skirts from the aero kit ($266+painting).

My two cents, toss the front plate, kinda tacky! Go for the black slim-line plate frame (match your Jet Black better, $23.25)

Have fun,
Cheers,
Ryan

To go with the clear/chrome stuff, you can also get clear front looks bulbs, and I think chrome side marker vents(instead of the black plastic). Also have you thought about wheels at all? The R86's are still 15inchers, and I've never seen anyone with them. And I deffinately recomend the rally lights, all that chrome on a jet black mini, will look so sparkly in that Florida sunshine!

Hey RAT

How did you get the ship you were booked on? I checked the shipping site and they didn't have anything for mine. Did you get it from ASKMINI?

Rat,

If you are already build and booked on the Carmen, I can only assume that the rest of us (March 7 and some early March 14 week builds) will be sailing on the Carmen with you. My car was still at 150 yesterday but it is supposed to be complte by Friday, so if you get on the boat first, save me a spot by the bar. My mini wants to drink boat drinks as it sails the ocean. I've got a feeling a bunch of us will be on the Carmen. According to the schedule it leaves March 14 and arrives March 23. That gives us about 8 days for unloading and processing before April. At least it is likely that we will have our cars the first week or two of April.

I do believe we will deffinatly end up in April, Not sure how many MINIS will be on board as she is only in southampton for a few hours. I believe we will be joining a load of those German BMW's for the ride across the pond. Flo better drink up while she can, there will be no drinking and driving when she gets home. I am trying to gather tracking info on the Carmen now. Not much luck. Does anyone know for sure, is it the current world events, that are stopping the tracking info?? guess all I can do now, is wait patiently, (yea right) I need more info !!!! Katie, how is the jingu maru progressing today? Everyone get out there and find the best tracking info you can. Seem's it will probably be right at 8 months from order to delivery. Has anyone gotten the mind meld e-mail from MINI yet?

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Ryan, I guess I'm official now...I have a VIN...It is WMWRE33493TD66891.

What can I do with the VIN (if I asked my wife that I'd be afraid of the answer)? Thanks

The only thing you can do with the VIN is use the last 7 characters for the tracking of your MINI on the ship at http://213.31.205.37/GLWebApps.AppTracking , but it will probably be a couple of days til that happens as you've just received your VIN

other than that, isn't is the serial number for your car? that's pretty important!

I'm still at the VPC!

my take on the wheels: the set of four costs around 600 dollars, so those are kind of out. my theory behind the chrome frames was to accent the black marquee plate. i gave the idea of the sport exhaust a thought, but once october comes, my friend and i will be investing some money to get her ready for some autocrossing, and a friend in the mini chat is testing out sport exhausts now. i'm torn on the driving lamps.. i really like them, but i dont know if they fit the look i'm going for.

Ok, I'm in the Owner's Lounge now, and they indicate a 3/28 production date. Time to put the big calendar on the wall and start 'X'ing off days!

Is it wrong to be a lounge lizard? I don't think so.

okay, fellow clubbers; i just called my dealer's service department and got an estimate on installation: it's $86 dollars an hour, and the the stuff i'm having them do totals $193...with tax i have $183 left to spend...

has anybody seen the $125 driving jacket? it looks really cool in the catalogue, but i've never seen/felt one...

If you're still accepting applications, I'm hoping to belong to this club. My JB/W MCS is status 112 for 3/21. Given that I'm waiting for an LA Area delivery, it could wind up as early May. But that club is still pretty empty, and it seems like this group will be more supportive in helping to endure the wait.

Is this all I need to do to learn the secret handshake?

-Quinn

BTW Ryan, nice web page. This club should charge dues.

Welcome Quinn! Thanks for the compliments, but you haven't learned the "secret handshake" yet We'd like to know a bit more about you and your MINI:

What options and accessories do you have on your JB/W MCS
What dealership are you working with, what town is home for you, and do you have a car MINI is replacing?

If you have any questions, hopefully we can help, and if not, we can at least point you in the right direction

Cheers,
Ryan

Ryan -

Based on your response to Quinn, I realized that I didn't give you full disclosure prior to admittance. Here's the scoop on the Coop.

MC IB/W Pkg 1,2,3 White Rims, Chrome Bumper Trim
Replacing either my Durango or the wife's full size Dodge conversion van.
Downers Grove, IL is home, and the Mini is coming from Bill Jacobs.
Haven't decided on a name yet, but being small and blue I figured either Stitch or Smurf were appropriate. Definitely NOT Smurf, leaning towards Stitch. Or something nautical, I've got a dog named Harbor and a cat named Marina.
