::pulling hair out::

argh! I HATE trying to coordinate everything for financing!

Might have to put everything off by a week if I can't get everything put together.

Massachusetts apparently doesn't recognize temporary plates.... ugh.

Who said it had to be so HARD?!

Tourist - that's great news! Mine should be at the dealership today too!

Cheers,

Gas in Los Angeles average about 2.45-2.50 for a gallon of premium!

Oh yes everyone...CeCe is being picked up by a friendly tucker in Indiapolis today...at least that was the latest. I havn't heard yet if the transfer was made but we can hope it all goes smoothly! Oh yes, its an enclosed car carrier of course! If anyone has any questions about car transport carriers I had previously put together a spreadsheet of prices and links for multiple companies. Just let me know if you ever have transport questions!

It's at the dealer! It's at the dealer!! Just got an email from Eang, and the car is at the dealer! Now, how in the hell am I supposed to get any work done this afternoon? Gonna stop by on the way home from work (OK way out of the way home from work) and see if I can snap a few pictures.

Just need to get financiing settled. It appears as if they think I may be too overextended

Thought that I'd also quickly point out the irony thatwe got a couple of inches of snow here in Chicago last night. Yeah, I know, snow in April in Chicago is not unheard of, just unwelcome. Especially when the MINI has just arrived at the dealer.

C'mon heatwave, melt that snow!

Well everyone, I'm signing off for the afternoon so I can leave work early and get to the dealer for my scheduled Mini pickup. I'm psyched but it looks like I'll get to check out my rain sensing wipers rather than the sunroof today. It is raining and 40 today in DC.

I want to thank Ryan and the rest of you for this club and having a place to pass the days (ok Months) waiting for my Mini. I'll be back tomorrow with some pictures.

Off to graduation. I'll have my Mini in 2hrs, 6 minutes.

Hey All! Ryephile, thanks for the car cover feedback!
Congrats to all of our recent grads! I took a couple pics of my baby at the dealer over the weekend. Now she's probably covered in snow. We are supposed to get 10" here in Southwest CT! Where's this "Spring" I've heard about?

I have to work on getting my bonnet stripes now. I'd like to find a good sign shop and have the stripes ready for when I pick up the mini. I think it looks so nude without them

WAGSFTB I like the Idea also. I just have 1 problem. I have developed the most femine childlike innocent vision of what you must look like!!!! I don't want it ruined. There is no way a grown man named Ryan could ever fit the image of a grown up winnie

Well, I'm scheduled to take delivery of my MINI tomorrow at 5PM. As far as the absence of the HK upgrade I had ordered, the dealer and I (by my suggestion)came up with what I feel is a reasonable solution. They will install the SoundModul, which is $895.00 before installation, and I will only have to pay the price of the HK upgrade ($500.00). The dealer will take care of the balance. The only problem is that the parts for the SoundModule are on back order right now. No big deal as I'm sure I will be quite happy to just listen to the engine note and supercharger whine for the interim. I feel comfortable with how things worked out, and that is important. I'd hate to start off on the wrong foot after awaiting this day for so long. Kudos to my dealer (Motorwerks MINI in Minneapolis) and the General Manager (Patty) for working with me on this. I know they were not pleased with the situation MINI put us all in, but things seem to be working out just fine. Thanks again Ryan for letting me in on the SoundModul. Without your help I'm not sure things would have worked out so well (my dealer had never heard of such a thing). Just another reason to believe you are the best CWF Club leader around. Anyway, tomorrow I Motor! Can't wait. I'll be sure to post a one-week review. Thanks again Ryan! Happy Motoring (or waiting) fellow April Clubbers.

PJ,

Sounds like they turned lemons into lemonade. I think your dealer really did the right thing. When it gets installed, I would love to get your feedback on the sound. Perhaps it is better than the HK. If the Sound Module is just an amp, perhaps a realtively inexpensive speaker upgrade down the road would be appropriate.

That's what is so terrific about this club, knowledgable and helpful people on this board really make a difference.

Regards,
Red

MiniSail.. just wanted to admire your sig... it reminds me of trying to surf MCO on a friend's computer. He's a blind programmer, so his computer is set to use inverse video and HUGE fonts

Everyone's MINI's look rather.. interesting... in that color scheme!

My MCS seems stuck at the VPC! Last Thursday my MA told me she had just talked to the VPC and they were working on "Delores" as we spoke, and that she should be released that day.

My MA told me Friday that it had not arrived.

Today, another MA at the dealership (my MA was off today) told me there was a backlog of over 5000 cars, and the VPC was using an aux. lot "up the hill " from the normal lot. (I thought the Jersy side of New York Harbor was pretty flat?) She said my boat had 2000 cars alone. She said the snow storms really slowed things down.

Does anybody know when the last snow (before today) occurred in NJ?

I am worried that something happend to my car - since the VPC was working on it Thursday.

Anybody else having a similar problems.

Brgmini - I think my mini made it to NJ March14th but didn't get to my dealer until last week. It was just sort of MIA for a few weeks. But it made it there eventually. I know it's easier said then done, but try to be patient.

Good question!

I have been told twice by my MINI dealer that my car arrived in halifax. It is supposed to be here any day. I have been told this for 5 weeks. I ordered mine on January 20. When have others ordered theirs or when was it produced and how long from production to delivery. I am worried mine was damaged in shipping and they are stalling while they fix it.

Oops! Just re-read Ryan's note about this a few pages back. It appears they do upgrade the speakers as well. Now I am really curious about how it sounds.

We should arrange a stock/HK/Sound Modul face off somewhere! Chef's got the tunes.

Regards
