>>OK Rachel, that enough out of you! :smile: Blame the passengers! I get blamed *every* time someone gets pulled over when I'm in the car.
I've actually never gotten pulled over when I was driving. Not that the cops haven't tried *gulp*. :smile: Visit Tire Rack (plug) for more info, or ask Dan in the ]Tire and Wheel Forum

oooo.. the superleggeras are faboo.. too bad about the whites getting canned
What, they don't think people would like the white wheels?! Maybe you can find a set cheap out there someday... I've got a friend who changes wheels on his car more often than women stereotypically buy shoes. I think he calculated that in the two or three years that he's had his car, he's spent somewhere close to $20,000 on wheels. Eek!
If I could afford them I'd be all over the leggeras since I've got no white on the car... something in carbon/gunmetal/anthracite would look neat, I think, with the dark silver. I just want something lighter that handles better than the danged runflats. The Rota wheels are tempting as well. The Comps are definitely drool-worthy too. There're a few others that I'm looking at. Since I'm still at 112, I've still got LOTS of time to decide!
I know people LOVE the Dunlops from the Audi S4 world... they also LOVE LOVE LOVE the Bridgestone S-03 Pole Positions, which come in 215 width and are $50 less each. Might have to talk to tirerack about that. You decided against the Yokos? Tirerack is my hero for tires and wheels.... gotten sets from them for the Audi and the Probe.
You want to stick with 17s in the snow? Dang.. I'm dropping down to the smallest diameter and getting steelies if I can. There's just something so painful about sliding into something with good wheels on your car. Of course, when I get a big brake kit sometime in the future that's all out the window.
Mm... brakes...
You planning on any extra-curricular activities with your car like autocross or tracking?

Rat: it's just an estimate,
I feel that if you can't handle your car (regardless of weather) you deserve to have your rims trashed
You can't tell I tend to be an annihilist, can you?!

>>Rachel - I don't run into stuff in the snow, that's why I'm keeping my white S-lites for then
But, you know, it would suck having to look at steelies for that many months out of the year...
apologies if I've insulted... horse is sick and I've been a bit twitchy and grumpy lately because of it. Congrats on the VIN!

Wastik, look on page 26 near the bottom, that's your treasure trove!
Thank's Asodestrom for that correction, I was about to freak out!
Red, looks like the "bright colors" of the 3/14 group are getting in line first, (BRG, LY, IB), and the Silvers are bringing up the rear
I created two parts for status 195; wags is in customs, but technically 195, and Wastik is also 195, but actually on the boat, hence "part 2" for wags
Cheers,
Ryan
P.S. Anybody else doing different wheels/tires, or canning your run-flats?

Yeaayy! I'm in 5th gear now!! This is post 602, rock-on! Apart from MINIclo (who's already got another MINI) I defintely am the most out-of-control psycho-posters of the CWFAClubbers. (in the background...) [golf claps, golf claps, golf claps...]
Useful question: Does anyone have any ideas on improving the CWFAC webpage ? Artistic ideas accepted, but may not be able to be computed (I'm artistically inept, mostly)
Cheers,
Ryan
(btw, Lastwave, I don't sleep, mwuaaa ha haaa!)

You are also definitely the greatest List-Daddy of any the CWFWhatevers.
Tiny bit of not-really-very-important-data regarding VIN numbers:
TC=MC
TD=MCS
TE=MC + CVT
I'm pretty sure anyways
Cheerio, Phil

It's nice to see so many vins around here now! BTW Ryan I'm TC44052(can't resist showing off how small that number is, HWAA,HA,HA,HA
)
I think the site is great Ryan, it doesn't really need much. Maybe when our ships start to sail, you could post the maps that show the logitude and lattitude points of location.

MINIUSA still say's scheduled for production.
I am starting to have withdrawls. I need to be on a ship soon I could be S motoring in march if they hurry. Guess I missed your ship Katie. Oh well I will keep punching in my vin # someday I will sail

I got one step closer today. Went to code 150, production started, and the vehicle was assigned a VIN. I have been checking production stages on the MINIUSA website so I don't know how current that information is. I hope my MCS makes the Pegasus Leader on March 18 with docking at Port Hueneme on April 9.

Hey Tboner: is that VIN stuff a theory of yours, or where did you dig that up? It seems logical, since there's only 3 powertrain options (for the U.S.). the MINI One might be TA and TB (oooo ideas!).
Congrats Jerry on getting your VIN; it's great to see something tangible happening!

Somewhere I saw a thread (other than this one) defining MINI's VIN, but I can't find it (on Roadfly of MINI2). As i remember, people were a bit paranoid about giving out VIN's online, but anyone can look in the windscreen and see you VIN. BTW mine is TD66698.

Okay, what are peoples thoughts on daytime driving lights? Our decision time is nearing. I am leaning towards having them programmed on, after reading accounts of people pulling out in front of MINI's. Do daytime driving light look "wussy"? Does it make the car more visible to SUV's or police?
