Darn - Still at 150.

Well, I realize that I probably (definitely) had/have some wishful thinking for early and fast production. Aaron said that with a 3/14 Prod Date, that it likely won't jump to a 151 until next Monday or possibly Tuesday.

But I'll call again tomorrow, just to be sure. (BTW, does anyone know if the plant runs 24/7? 16/5?) And I'll keep on posting updates, because now that we've passed the CWFMC, we should set our sites on the CWFFC.

And Ryan, keep up the good work!

It's all good ryan...your doing a great job, no doubt!! Moved to 193 as of yesterday...so you can update that. I can't remember who posted it off the top of my head, but i think it would be a great idea to update the april club homepage w/ the actual pics of our mini's when they come in. Maybe even a head shot of ourselves so we can put a face to the screen name....just an idea. What do you all think?!

Not sure I was terribly entertaining, but I know that I'm still at 150.. Ryan, your car and mine got to 150 on the same day, though with your VIN being so much sooner than mine, I'm betting that you'll get through the process sooner as well.

I also have a story to tell (yaayy!)
Monday I went to my dealership (Motor City MINI) just to get my MINI fix, plus ask my M.A. a few technical questions. Somehow I ended up test driving a Silk Green Cooper 5-speed. I hadn't driven a Cooper yet, only MCS's, so I was kinda interested to see the difference. My Conclusion? It was very nice, the ride was a bit smoother, and the overall feel more relaxed and less race-car-like. The 115HP engine had more torque than I expeced, making around-town driving pleasurable. It was the first time driving a MINI without "testing" it, so I was much more relaxed. I adjusted the stereo (non-H/K, I'm glad I opted for the H/K!), sat back and just cruised. I was having a blast! I noticed just about everyone was looking/staring/oogling the MINI (or maybe just me, lol). I got a few waves, and I happily waved back. I got my first taste of the MINI experience, and it was AWESOME! I wasn't really impatient to get my MCS, but now I am!

Oh yea, while I'm remembering, Let's setup the deal for when everyone get's their MINI. No need to worry about hosting the pic, I can deal with that (although self-hosting is better!).

When you get your MINI, take a few shots, pic your favorite, and e-mail me your high-res image (jpg please). If you'd like to include a self-pic, even cooler! I'll setup the website for the "real stuff" somehow - it'll come to me in a wind of inspiration

Just called 1-866-ASK-MINI today to confirm my car is on the Jingu-Maru. They said they expect it will be in NY on March 14th or so.

I think you have your longitute lattitude coordinates reversed. I don't think the Jingu Maru is off the west coast of Africa today.

 

Oooops! I got the lattitude right, but had entered the dew temp (18.0º) as the longitude Thanks for pointing that out Asode. Maybe I'm not the most efficient catographer(I am dislexic, and that chart on the offshor observation's site gets a little jumbly to read) after all. I edited the post so the current map should be correct.

Katie, welcome back after your "rough day", hopefully the seas calm down so you'll be able to read the ship's maps easier On your map, I get that the one in the ocean is the J.M., and that you put N.Y.C. and Southampton, but what's the dot in Mexico? Also, it would be cool if you could put the Undine on there too, since that's Wastik's ship.
