Oh yea, Kelisa was having a Bonnet Stripe dillema, here's the two options:

 

As I am doing with my "littleRed" I would go with the white strips. It gives the car the clasic look of the old mini's. to bad they don't offer silver ones. that would be even better...

looking at the configurator stuff, i love the dark silver/white top/white stripes/white wheels... if only they had dark silver for the MC.. oh well...

Katie, SOON, like once your ship has sailed, you can go check the owners lounge for an estimated delivery date. emphasis on estimated, of course! i'm currently on the carmen, which is set to dock TOMORROW (after a 2-day delay avoiding a storm) and my est. deliv date is frickin march 2! i tried, with no avail to get some responses from the Marchers about when their est deliv date was and where they were getting delivered to, but they were pretty unresponsive. from what i can gather, the further away you are from the VDC, the later the est deliv date is. So, check back with the owners lounge to see what yours says. I'm fairly certain it's somewhat accurate, as i know a fellow who got his 6 days after that date, which can be accounted for by the snow that haulted any movement at the VDC.

Well, i'm slowly motoring through the assembly line, pulling up the end of the 2/28s. Its in the paint shop everybody (status 152). Hopefully it can make it out and through the rest of the stages quickly and get aboard on a ship on the high Atlantic seas with the rest of my group. Its so lonely and cold back here at the factory by myself! Heres to sunny skies and smooth sailing for the rest of you, and some nice thick cold paint for myself!

Kelisa, I don't think the white and black could ever clash. I mean there's white wheels, a white roof and white mirror's, but it's not like there's isn't any stinkin' black on the car! One thing that bothers me with some of the white roof combo's, is how weird it looks with the black window frames and stuff. Your balck bonnet stripes would tie in the black parts very well I think. Just think of it as 3 seperate parts of you car, the red body, the white trim and the black trim.

Also, on that diagram that wags posted, does anybody know what all those points mean? The "Brooklyn Marine Terminal" is right by where I live, I mean right there, I know exactly where that is. So if our cars actually stop off there, it'd be very easy for me to go check them out and take some pics…

I think the part where our MINIs go through is the smaller diagram... the bigger diagram just shows were in NY/NJ the thing is. There's also some controversy as to whether we'll be at the NEAT or BMW center. not that it really matters, since they're adjacent.

Oh, and Cajun, they do make shadow bonnet stripes, but i think you gotta get them at an aftermarket place not MINI, although I have yet to check out the new Accessories catalogue.

Looks like I'll motor up the back of the 3/7 week. I'm still stuck at 112. From looking at the status charts it seems it takes about 10 days to to from 150 to a finished vehicle. If so, I better go to 150 tomorrow. I was really hoping to get the production started in the hopes I could make the boat leaving on the 5th (and arriving in NY on the 14th. Now it looks like I'll be on the boat that leaves on the 12th and arrives on the 21st.

I'm just guessing, but the stars and moons are aligned so that my Mini is going to arrive at my dealer on April 12 (the day I leave for Paris for a week). I know Paris is a nice city, but I've been there many times and I'd rather be motoring in my new Mini.

Wags....Where have YOU been?!!? That's all we're talking about!!!!!!!!

 

Ask Mini finally reports that Delores (my baby) is at status 112 today, with the same production date of 14 March.

Good job Ryan, on the CWFAC graphic of all the member's MINI's! I printed it out and I stare at it all day at work.

I fell sorry for the folks over at the 'May club.

Called mini today and found out that my production is at 151 now, with a production date of march 7th. The mini guy said that my mini was a week ahead of schedule, but would still take 6 to 8 weeks to deliever because i'm on the west coast. So not fair!!! Oh well, at least somethings happening....yay!!!!!!

 

Still no changes for me. Just want to say I am proud to be a member of this fine club. Great to see the ships starting to be tracked, we are all a few day's closer. ryan a ledgend in his own mind!! oh I mean all our minds.

Fun cars tend to sell better in warmer weather. On the eastern end of Long Island they sell like crazy in the summer. In the winter they are dead. Have plenty of allocation and get you on the list quick.

I went to 112 status (Is calling once per week enough to keep track?) and my MINI is on a cool website!

Morgan is moving right a long everybody! she went from 150 yesterday all the way to 152 at the end of today...hopefully she'll catch up to katie and make it onto the boat that is leaving on the march 2nd..

she's officially jet black though!!
