Can I be a member of "Can't wait for April" though I am waiting for the Cooper Works and not my MINI (I already smaked over 8K miles on mine)?

Pleeeeease?

HFranks - Have hope if my Chili Red is at 152. (Although mine is not an S) I was at 150 on Friday afternoon. It took all of my will power to wait til lunch today to call in to check the status. They said to call every 2-3 days to see progress.

>>Well, it is not dark silver. My Chile Red MCS is still at 112 today. I think I'm the only person with a March 7 production week that is still at 112. They keep telling me I'll go to 150 soon. I hope so.
>>
>>Bbuskas, what is your production week? I thought you were at 2/28. If so, I would have thought you would have moved at least to the paint shop by now. Katie & others who have had their cars completed, how long was the time line for your car to move from phase to phase?

I am indeed a 2/28. They keep telling me that production will be completed by, yes, this friday. My car originally moved up a week in being schedule for production to 2/28 from 3/7. This occured within the first few weeks of scheduling the order. The order jumped to 150 last week or so and has been there for about a week and a half now.

I've been debating a final change to my MINI S, specifically whether or not I wanted the silver or the anthracite dash, (this after I anguished for weeks over whether or not to get the 17" wheels) but I no longer have to worry myself with such minor details any more because... I've been moved to 112 status! Schedule for production. One step up the ladder. It's really happening! (By the way, I'm getting the anthracite dash)

Ryephile,

I am at 155 "Production Completed" as of today. I was at 150 on 2/14 and have moved through rather quickly. I hope it continues! My estimated production date is still 2/28. I'm hoping to go to 160 in the next day or so.

Baby steps, baby steps.

Sorry,

Scratch that, i jumped the gun too soon!!!

I'm actually at 160!!!!!!! I'm Michael and Katie now. Indi Blue is a quick color too. I hadn't made the paint shop as of last Friday, so things are either moving very quick or the data to ASKMINI is behind.

YEEEEE HAAAAAA

Birdie.

WOOT!!

152... my car is now blue

And, before you ask, one of my other cars still needs to go. So unless someone wants to buy my GTO, the Miata is slated for the AutoTrader.

pooh. Morgan is still sitting at 150, as of two minutes ago...
but i talked to jen again, and she told me that the plant was open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!!! there are three eight hour shifts, if i recall..(makes me appreciate my job!)

on a less happy note:
i was in my first fender bender today! it was awful. i was going to change lanes, and a big old ford van came from the side and knocked off my passenger side mirror, took off my hubcap, and put a dent in the side of my car! but lo and behold: the college kid gets the ticket! now i'm down 78 dollars, a trip to driving school, the price of repair on the car, and i risk getting an insurance kick up.

i'll be saved by the ice cream.

You would think the dealers in the cold climates would get orders in quicker!

What would cold have to do with getting orders in quicker? Less friction in the telephone lines?

Sorry for being ignorant but I have a production number. What is the numbers that are being discussed? And IF one wanted to make changes to the order, what is the cut off? I have a Late April/Early May delivery scheduled.

Gr8brit, you've got to call 1-866-ASKMINI once you get your production status number and your estimated build date, then you can figure stuff out. For example, if your car is at 112(schedualled fro production) you can still change stuff, but once you get to 150 it's mostlikely too late because your car's about to be built!

>>>Last thurs. (2/13) I went to statues 150 and when I tried to change stuff, they said I couldn't, as my car would be completely built by sat. (2/22) even though the owners lounge still read a production of 2/28. This thursday(2/20) I called and was told I was at status 152, and the guy on the phone still said it would be done by 2/28(???). Friday, still status 152. Today, monday, they told me the car was completed on saturday! In all it took about a week and a half to get things moving. But now I really have to wait . I actually read of people in the other clubs haveing to wait weeks and weeks just to get on a stinkin' boat!

Also, anyone know how we figure out what boat your car's on?

Sure, go here, http://213.31.205.37/GLWebApps.AppTracking , then click on auto and type in the last 7 of your VIN. It won't show up too far in advance of when the ship should leave. I went pretty quickly through the process. my production date was 2/14, and I was booked on the Carmen which left 2/15. Now, my estimated delivery date is 3/2, which will be at least 2 days behind because the ship had to alter it's route to avoid a storm. They're calling for snow again (i think) up North, but lets hope it doesn't get too bad so i can get my MINI!

also check out, http://www.geocities.com/dsb106/ , for more info on boat tracking

Thanx Wags for the link, but I've tried it like 10 times today and have never gotten passed the part where you click on auto. It always tells me I have bad syntax, or something…
Anyone else with this problem?

Katie,

I had no problem with the link. No syntax errors. If you can't resolve the problem, send me a private message with the last 7 digits of your VIN and I'll send you the status. I'm still at 112. I called ASKMINI twice today, hoping that by 5pm I would have moved to 150. No such luck. Looks like I'll be the last of the March 7 group to get underway.

I just finished watching monster garage where a bunch of tatooed thugs ripped into a beautiful chili red mini, just as my chili red is being carefully and lovingly assembled by proper British gents and ladies.

How could they do such a thing?
