When you post a reply, there is an option at the bottom called "manage attachments" - you can post each photo individually, or you can use WinZip to zip them into one file and load that.......

I was a bit puzzled, to put it mildly, as to why when I check the OL it gives me an Estimated Delivery Date of 9/3, when others whose Mini's traveled with mine on the EMDEN- arrived Charleston 7/31 have a 8/14 EDD.At first, last week, my MA told me the car would be ready for pick up on or before 8/10, now I am told it may be waiting for a truck to transport it from Charleston and that they only know from a fax they get each morning as to what cars are put on a truck to them, so they will tell me when my car gets on a truck.
I called AskMini, got a very helpfull person on the phone who told me that the EDD is entered into the OL site by someone at the VDC, and the dates are usually very accurate. I asked why my EDD was 9/3 when others were 8/14 he said that it could be several things, a spot Customs inspection, A spot QC check or....I hesitate to even say it, but a body repair???
BTW, ask Mini told me that the MA can find out exactly why and what the status is by calling the VDC directly.
Anyone ever have this situation happen or have any info that may shed some light?
Thanks!

Is your 9/3 from SC to CA?
Thanks
Ok, the two women in the pics are the salesperson and the finance person, both of who took damn fine care of me. The girl in the black MINI shirt is Lisa, and the other girl is Melinda, the finance person.
BTW, they are both single!

FF2-EMTB, the car looks great. Any surprises with the color? Our Purple Haze arrives in the United States next week. I have seen a lot of posts and the color looks different with each picture. Have fun!
FF2-EMTB,
It looks GREAT - that's my spec too - white roof, stripes, sunroof...
It doesn't look that purple!! I think photos just don't really capture the color....
Thanks for posting
TrixienSpeed - can't wait to see yours!!
Mine is gonna finish its build next week - but takes a month to ship; the curse of the west coast purchase!! - so love looking at other people's cars!!

Just spoke to the sales mgr, would you believe they are holding off delivery of "all" the mini's for now, because...get this now...the center caps and cup holders are missing and the VPC doesnt have any in stock???
COuld be released as early as next week, or who knows?
I specifically asked about damage- he said absolutely not, no damage.
Guess it would've made too much sense to have the cars released w/o the cupholder and center caps and let the dealer install them.....

First no stickers for the 05's and now no cup holders!! YIKES!! I guess I will pretend that I live on the West coast and have to wait.

Oh happy happy joy joy
I didn't have time to post this yesterday, because I was too busy motoring and showing off my new MCS!
I picked up Pittsburgh's first 2005 yesterday and I couldn't be happier. I am strictly following the break-in advice of shifting before 4500 RPMs, and I'm still having a blast. Once I reach 1,250 miles and am able to really let the car move, I think it might be too much excitement for me to handle.
But I'll manage.
On a side note, we live about 55 miles from the dealership, and on the way home, we had to stop in Wal-Mart outside of Pittsburgh to pick up a few things. First time I parked the car, and within seconds of stepping out of the MINI, three people came up to us and started complementing us on the MINI. We expected the Wal-Mart pit stop to take 5-10 minutes, but it ended up being closer to an hour.
It was so cool. We met a couple who live close to us, who have a 2002 MCS and a teenager who dreamed of having one of these beautiful things for his very own. I love this car.

bmovierat - Wonderful news! I can only imagine the excitement you're feeling right now! Did you get any sleep last night or were you able to have dreams of racing up and down those wonderfully curvy PA backroads? Have fun!
