Here are your pics, asaulo; I'm more than happy to oblige. When I picked the MINI up, it had 20 miles reading on the odometer, and after 2 days, it reads 400. And that's with no major trips, just a few jaunts around the area. Break-in is going to fly by.
CSW, you'll know my excitement soon enough. And these roads are a LOT of fun. Perfect for the MINI.
Quick note on the pics, the baby is not mine. She is my adorable little cousin. She can't really talk too much yet, but I think she's sending signals that she wants to drive the MINI.

No news...........It will be going to TX then CA EDD is to TX. (sigh) Oh when oh when will we get our cars..........this is crazy my last one was at the VPC for like a day maybe two. I will call or email my MA tomarrow. I am starting to worry about damage


Just checked out the OL and it canged my EDD to 9/2. Well a day sooner is a start I guess.

 

Latest status: Mini will be delivered from Classic to me TOMORROW MORNING!

Congratulations, dlaugh. Waiting for the dealer to wash, wax and otherwise pretty up your new toy will be the hardest day or two of the whole process. Trust me though, it is worth it.

 

Thanks LY, and since our MINIs are going to be practically twins, I can tell you this: Expect a lot of stares and a lot of people asking questions. Previously, I just sort of blended in with traffic in my old beater car. Those days are no more. My only fear is that it might attract the wrong type of attention. I don;t know what I would do if someone sees it, decides it's too nice of a car, and vandalizes it. Hasn't happened yet, but it's in the back of my mind.

 

FYI - the wife found a new tracking website once you have your ship's call sign:

Just put your ship's callsign in the box at bottom left (WRYX for Liberty, previously registered as Faust) & click Search
Once you have the close up map, click the Show Region link at the bottom for a larger view.

 

That is much easier than looking at the other map!! I was giving myself a headache trying to strain to see the letters!

Unfortunately for me my Mini is stranded until late August until a transport can be scheduled to bring her to me to the West Coast.

Meanwhile I hope my Mini does not get strucked by a meteor or lightning waiting in Classic Mini's lot.

Glad to hear about another PW. I have spent a lot of time settling on the color scheme. I chose the white on white and not wanting a sunroof to minimize solar gain among other reasons. The chrome mirror and the black pillars set up for a nice contrast. The red S of the MCS badges shows up nicely against the white body.

 

Awesome MINI, Zociac. The PW/PW looks very classy.

 

Anyone else out there arrive via the Emden?

I know Jcampos was aboard with me, any others. It is very odd that we are both held up and were on the same ship makes me nervous.

I was told that there is no damage..........so cupholders it is......

My MA called about two minutes ago. It seems our Cooper has been released to the carrier. So we will be picking up Tuesday or Wednesday of next week if all goes well. Now to the hold up, my MA said there were actually three parts holding them up at the VDC. A front liscense plate bracket, a fender gromet, and the new cupholders.

Well, the Isolde has docked at Southampton, and my car is now listed as "Loaded on Vessel."


I'm sure a few of the others in this thread are probably down in the hold as well. Due in New York 8/19.

 

Looks like his car was on the Freedom, that arrived 4 days after ours?
