Well still no email or call or anything but when checking MINIUSA for the 15th time today I found that my EDD had changed................from 9/2 to 8/15!!!!! I will get my car someday, maybe even somday soon.

 

I'm sorry to hear that, maybe you should give the sales mgr at your dealership a call?

Today my OL status changed from 'En Route' to 'At VDC' and my EDD is also 8/15 :smile: 3 more days, hopefully earlier!

 

Per my MA "[font=Arial]I would estimate that it should be here around the 21 or 23rd of this month."[/font]

Funny, my car is still listed as 9/1 on the OL, but my MA assures me its on the truck.

Well, I sure hope that the OL is correct because I haven't heard a thing from my MA who assured me that he would contact me as soon as it left the VPC, or it's status change at all................nice. So we shall see what happens over the next day or so. I checked this morning and OL said EDD is tomarrow. Maybe by the end of next week, I'll be motoring.

 

Just talked to my MA, we are picking up our Cooper at noon tomorrow, I am soooo excited

 

I am so jealous! Built the same time - car not even on dry land!!! Just talked to my MA and it should be docking 8/18..... I'll live vicariously through your posts and pictures!

 

Went to my dealer last night and they had a CR/W with letherette and body color dash. Man-o-man I loved it. I was unshure about the red dash but now i' sold. Cant wait for mine. They said it was held up at the VPC and should be here next week. I will be out of town for the next 2 weeks...bummer.

 

Called my dealer today and the car is there today but wont be ready until Wednesday for pickup.

 

My Mini came last Tuesday morning. Can't say enough good things about Classic or Concours shipping -- the fellow who dropped off my car was one of the nicest people I've ever met.

(As a side note, when my sister shipped her car across country with some random shipper, the fellow who dropped off her vehicle was a horse of a different color -- shady as shady can be. I wouldn't have trusted that guy with a ham sandwich, let alone an automobile.)

I've had nothing but fun with the car. And one word of advice: get the body color dash! That has been the single largest source of compliments (among many ) I've gotten on the car. I posted pics of it earlier. Here are a few more of the exterior:

 

Hey, for you guys who have taken delivery, what is the average time from ship unload to delivery at the dealership? The LIBERTY docks today and I'm trying to get a rough estimate for when I can pick it up.

 

My car arrived at the dealer on Saturday!!! Paperwork today, hopefully. Then it should be loaded on a truck and here in no time!!!

 

According to the Port of Charleston website, the Liberty is now not docking today, but tomorrow .

 

Probably related to the recent weather problems in the area.

MY MINI IS IN DA HOUSE. Just not mine, not yet anyway. It has arrived at my dealer and is waiting for prep.
Unfortunently I cant have it till the 28th.
I close on the house on the 26th.

But first I have to write the check for the house and car.
But I am only doing it cuz its worth the money. Well we will find out. I here that that Mini is a HOOT to drive. And, my wife wants a house so I picked out one with a garage for the Mini. No bikes in there please, they might fall over and scratch the mini. Who am I kidding the mini will only take up half the garage.

Wait before all this I have to go to NY for a wedding...ARGH...so much to do.

 

We picked our Cooper up on Saturday, put almost 500 miles on it this weekend.:smile: I took some pics and tried to post them a few times, but it says that they are too large??? But what fun!!!
