R50/53 July 2004 builds....official tracking thread!
The only bad side of my MCS was:
a.) Car was very dusty inside and out. The windows were left down the whole time it was in the truck (over a week).
b.) Anthracite headliner was in my spec but I don't have it.
c.) Small bubble on the dash, pretty visible because it's on the middle of the dash.

IT'S FINALLY HERE!!! I love it! I wish I could drive it.
The dealer didn't program as specified, gave me the wrong floor mats, and it had bonnet spripes that I did not order. But hey it is finally here and all those things can be fixed.

Here's Jimi ....
Well lets hope this works. I have resized some of the photos of Jimi.
I am probably one of the first "Julyites" who has already driven over 2,000 miles! We just came back from a trip from Yuba City, CA to Astoria, OR. We left Friday morning and arrived back home this afternoon. The car handled perfectly. The hills of Astoria remind me of San Francisco so I had to use the hand brake on a few of them. The only problem we had was that the car stalled once at an intersection and the engine light went on. It started up again right away though. And yes, I am using premium gas and the gas cap was on securely. I was just freaked for a second, but the light did not go on again. I will call the service department this week and ask them what I should do. Considering we were loaded down with luggage, our average mpg was 35.1. That is pretty impressive. Jimi is covered with bugs, but no dings, even though a couple of trucks threw some rocks on us. We saw about 7 Mini's during the trip and at least 5 of the owners honked. We got a couple of double takes, due to Jimi's color. I would forget I was in a Mini and than I would be reminded when people stared or would pull up behind us and follow for awhile. What a kick.
We will be leaving for even a longer trip October 1st. We are going 3,000 miles from Yuba City, CA to Albuquerque, NM. That will be the ultimate test. I hope everyone had a safe Labor Day weekend.
