My MINI has been born. Still not sure if its a boy or girl yet, though . It was either built Sunday or Monday. The web site still says scheduled for production, but that's pretty much useless. 1866 ASK MINI has better info. Congrats to any of the other proud future owners here. :smile:

 

bmovierat - just wondering, what's your prod. no.? just trying to figure out when my build week will be... mine is 74664xx. is yours anywhere close to this? I called ASK MINI and they told me that it's been received as an order but no prod. date as of yet..... maybe it is a curse to have this tracking thing... now I can't sleep at night....:smile: :smile: :smile:

OK, currently my status (and 89 other MINI) are waitlist status, and booked on a ship called the Caribbean Highway, but no voyage details are availble yet. The ship is not a WW ship, but a K-Line ship, so unsure what or if we will be able to track the cars on another line.

I was curious about the Universal Garage Door Opener. I had thought it wasn't available until January. If it's available now, I'll add it to my order. Does it by chance use a toggle switch? It would be great to have all of mine in use. If not, does anyone know where it is?

 

The UGDO is available right now seperatly as a $200 option as well as the rain wipers/ auto dimming mirror for $150. The part that isn't available is the new convenience package. This package has the new arm rest, UGDO, rain wipers/dimming mirror and the new auto headlights. This won't be available until 1/05. From what I have heard the UGDO buttons are where the clock used to be or on the rearview mirror.

Just returned from a week on the lake - no computers, papers, tv, etc! Ours is a MCS Jet Black/White with bonnet stripes! Hope everyone had a nice 4th!

 

Ok, update for those of us whose cars have been built and were waiting for transport to the U.S.


According to the WW website, our cars are riding on a ship called the Caribbean Highway, which is not a WW ship, but a K-Line ship. I could not find any voyage info on the WW site, so I called K-Line customer service. A nice lady answered the phone, I explained to her what I wanted to know, and she was more than helpful. She says the ship will sail today, Voyage 19-A, headed directly for Charleston S.C. and is due to arrive there on the 21st.

There also appears to be another ship. I'm booked and loaded on the Jingu Maru, along with another ~40 Minis. It docks at NYC on 7/15 and SC on 7/20. Which port do you suppose I'll get dropped off at? Mine is going to Classic Mini in Ohio.

Just called MINI USA (recording) and we are in Production with a completion of July 14th!

We were scheduled for week 29 so it looks like we were bumped up a bit. Once in production is the VIN number assigned?

 

Found VIN number on the MINIUSA OL website. Next week I will start tracking our voyage across the ocean. :smile: Hey it looks like a late August delivery if everything goes ok.

 

just checked the status of my car and it still reflects on order... man, this waiting just sucks..... anybody have anything change in their Owner's lounge? I guess except for trixenspeed:smile:

 

The first two numbers are the same at least. My production number is 74483XX. I ordered mine over Memorial Day weekend.

I called MINI today and was told that my production date will not be until week 30. Has anyone else been moved back or is this uncommon. I am afraid the dealership forgot to change the classification from the lower priority of the dealership order to "Customer Paid" priority

 

How long are you typically On Order??? This is driving me insane. I've been On Order (and updated to my colors) since July 2nd. Just curious.

I'm begining to wonder if I'll be an August production date...

Kind of lurked around for a while without posting, but I ordered my MCS on June 4th. Been checking religiously with 866ASKMINI and the owner's lounge, and my car entered the paint shop today. Scheduled for completion on July 10th. :smile:

2005LY, we were in "On Order" status from 6/26 to 7/7. I think MINIUSA is week behind in updating the tracking system.

 

Thanks Trixien, I called ASK MINI and found out I'm scheduled for production, but with no date set yet. :smile: Now that I know it's a recording, I'll be obsessing and calling it every day!

 

AskMini tells me that my car is "Scheduled for production but without a specific date." I guess this is an improvement over "on order."


Now, what week is what? There are 52 weeks in a year, and July 1 is halfway through the year (just short actually.) So week 27 should be the first week in July, but since July 1 was on a Thursday, does week 27 for Mini's start on July 5?

OMG! Ask Mini tells me we are in the Body Shop with a scheduled completion date of 7-9-04!!! And I was told week 31! We just placed our order 6-28. I hope this means an earlier delivery date than 9-1, but you never know!

Well I got the email from my MA today. My little mini has begun the process and soon she will come to life. It still seams so far away that I can feed her her first bottle of 93 octane. Cant wait till she gets that red color in her cheeks. I think she is going to be a blond with the whitest top ever. I know that my wifes and my parents are ever so excited about the delivery. But Unlike our son, now 4, we wont be home for the first 3 months. Well be on out on the road.:smile:
