Replaced the windshield cowl, Replaced the upper hood grill trim. Ordered everything from ECS, arrived fairly promptly and in good shape.
Grill trim was trim was easy, other than the screw i dropped and lost somewhere in the engine.
Windshield cowl was slightly more involved, just a little tedious with getting the windshield wipers off and then back on in good alignment. Definitely a good chance to vacuum out some debris from the brake cylinder compartment and the battery compartment. If you are replacing the cowl, I'd recommend getting another inner shield seal. It was split, so you may just want to have it on hand.
BTW-replaced both of these because they had been broken by the mechanics at the local shop, battery door was broken off, and hood trim broken off as well.
I had two things to do today. I replaced all four ignition coils on my 2011 MCS. It would occasionally stutter when accelerating HARD in 2nd and/or 3rd gear going from 3k to 5k RPM, but not any more!! I'll keep a close eye on it because the problem was intermittent, but I'd be surprised if that happened again.
Happy New Year MiniFam!!
What was your mileage? Did you get OEM coils? Bosch? some sort of high performance?
35% Ceramic Tint
Busy upgrade weekend. Yesterday a local coder added SiriusXM to my HK radio and made a few code changes (fold/unfold the side mirrors when lock/unlock, turn off radio when door opens, turn off navigation warning screen, etc). Today adding window tint - Madico 35% tint with 87% infrared rejection, 53% heat rejection, 57% glare reduction, 6% visible light reflectance.

Drove #81 today, lots of ice patches this morning ... interesting drive to work. -14C I had a splash of water hit my windshield and immediately turned to ice, couldn't see for a few seconds (scary bit). And had to wait a few minutes as the remnants of a collision was cleared away from the crazy intersection. (Speed limit is 35 most people do 50+. This is the intersection I had a guy in a Pick Up Truck make a Left Turn right into me in my R52).
I come down the hill and turn right onto 616, traffic moving north try to guess where you will turn right and attempt to turn left in front of you.
Installed the BMS intake on my f55 MCS Friday, and finally got the CEL for running high air/fuel ratios to reset and go away. Looks good though! Definitely sounds great if you like turbo sounds.
Had some time to get the windows and moonroof tinted on my R53. I'll be excited to see how much cooler the car is in the summer with less light coming through the roof and side windows.

Motor On!
I've been through there, thankfully not every day.

Got more time out of the car this year. Put the Mini away this past weekend, we had our first winter storm and the roads are covered with salt.
New JCW plugs (17% reduction), new wires, oil change, new aluminum expansion tank, blue-tooth adapter, OBD II reader w phone app, restored headlights and some XXR 530s. Next is my Invidia N1 exhaust
Nope, those are original headlights. I used on of the sylvania kits and then put a UV protective clear skin on top. Look good as new and should last a while with the UV layer.

By clear skin I mean in addition to the UV coating they give you. It's a plastic skin that is UV protective that goes on the headlight.

I was saying I just replaced the Bulbs on my 04 with the Amazon bulbs.
