Continued refreshing the wife's new acquisition today. I started removing the headlight washer hoses in preparation for the new headlights (without washers) which are supposed to arrive tomorrow. I went in to disable the system electronically and found the relay had already been removed, so I pulled the fuse, too.
Next was replacing the license plate light bulbs. One was out and the other bulb fell apart when I removed it. I also cleaned the lenses really well before I reinstalled them.
Final project for the day was replacing the missing left a-pillar trim. It was all cracked and broken when we got the car and it flew off on the highway shortly after we got the car. We picked up a pair of new OE trim panels off Ebay, so I installed the left one today. So nice!
Just installed P3 gauge. Probably the easiest thing I’ve done to her so far. Took me maybe 20 minutes. Was afraid I was gonna crack the trim. But no problems. Seems to work well. Nice to have some way to see what’s going on.

Did you go with the OEM vent option? If so is it easy to see while in a normal upright driving position? I’m debating between this and a boost gauge next to the tachometer. I also saw a while back a radar scanner that is hidden within a boost gauge that I may go with but idk how necessary a radar detector really is for me as it’s been years since I have been pulled over.
As far as what I did today, installed a Dinan Elite tuner!
After.
Big difference. Will reinstall tomorrow. I popped off chrome rings an made it much easier. No taping to worry about. Was going to pull some small door dings tomorrow but look like rain all day.

Removed Meagan Coilovers - Installed NEW JCW Springs and Shocks
Removed EBC Yellow Rear Pads - Installed EBC Reds
Removed factory old hard rear brake lines - installed SS Braided units
Remove plastic guide pin bushing on rear calipers - replaced with brace guides and new pins
Removed factory rear rotors - replaced with new drilled and slotted units
Things I notice while there:
The rear swaybar bushing (not an OEM bar) are shot and will need to be replaced
one of the rear caliper boots had a minor tear - should replace both
neither rear rotor had the retaining screw (well not a complete one but a buggered and busted one) - go to MINI and get to replacements
Things still on the project list:
Install Racing Dynamics header
install 380cc injectors
wash car and apply ceramic coating
install stand alone ECU (LinkECU and the Link ECU wideband)
After.

Need to do the second thing, but for some reason only the driver side is hazed. Passenger side is clear as a bell. Never seen that happen before.
Yep. The guy who bought it is a Scot, and has family coming over in a month so has already bought new tail lights and plate lights for them to bring with them. Makes it easier when he is so enthusiastic about it and I know it is going to a good home.
Well I did some PDR work on my mini. The dents came out pretty darn well. Then I compounded an polished my hood. She looking good. Going to change oil tomorrow.

Haven't posted in several months. I've installed a 17% pulley, plugs, and belt since then. Just put in KONI's special active last week. What a difference. Still firm but so much more compliant. Doesn't shake the fillings out of my teeth anymore. Also designed and 3d printed a bracket to install a boost gauge. Didn't hook it up yet since I decided to add an AFR gauge and will be pulling the IC next week to install Bosch 550cc. There's a also a Borla cat back still in the box waiting to be put in. Then it's tuning time. Should be ready for summer after that.
Installed with dash cam mounted on extension arm. Pod with extension arm on right. New double pod for the AFR
I like the camera mount. Whats wrong with your boost gauge though?
