K, so it was a few days ago, but installed my "new" glovebox organizer that I bought from DSMINI1.

I took the opportunity to remove some stuff that was no longer needed in there as well, and now the glovebox no longer acts like the storage hatch in the StarTrek episode with the tribbles....

I also tried installing the Alta intercooler boots he sold me, which were new in the sealed plastic wrap, but couldn't get them to seal well. I might not have had the clamps in exactly the right spot, or maybe there's some secret trick to getting them to seal well. I'll try again next time I have a little time, after my back stops hurting from bending down to work under the bonnet for that long....

C ya,
Dutch

My R53 was lonely and couldnt get along with my wife's x3 so we decided to give him a new friend to play with.
The wife wanted to name her Shamu but I wouldnt allow it. Went with Orca - at least that was the name of Quints boat in jaws.

Those are a bit of a pain to install. We had to use a heat gun to get mine pliable enough to stretch over the horns. Took about half an hour to get them on.

I finally got to install my slotted rotors and ebc red pads on my r53 that I bought at motd. The slotted rotors look great. And there is such a huge difference these things really stop you.
Then once myredline and oil filter shows up I am changing the oil and putting some redline mtl in my trans.
Then next week it is new axles ,hub assembly ex0ansion tank coolant flush and brake flush with super blue and stainless lines and possibly painting my calipers black. Going into maintenance mode before it starts to get really hot.

Covers up the holes in the Intake Silencer to create a smoother airflow.

Installed red brake ducts. (And took way longer than I would like to admit to get the f'in bumper off!!)

(BTW - I don't have any crazy light setup in my MINI, it's just a reflection of my garage door opener lights! )

Jerry--
I got 'em on, but they didn't want to seal. I used a sparingly small amount of "Sil-Glyde" silicone lube from NAPA to help get them to slide into place. I wonder if that was why they didn't want to seal, or if I just didn't get the sealing clamps in exactly the right spot. When I put 'em back, the originals didn't want to seal either, until I wiped the IC horns clean. It bears further investigation, but since the stock boots are still in good shape, it's not a "MUST DO NOW" issue. I just spotted a deal on 'em, new, from DSMINI1 on here. I might just wait until I get some 380cc injectors and swap both at the same time, since the IC has to come off to access them anyhow.

Dutch

Yes, Albie I did!! It was a stupid mistake, I was detailing both cars and needed to swap cars, had parked Molly to close behind him and when I tried to move SMAUG into the garage, not remembering he did not have Hill Assist like Molly does, I did not give him enough gas and he rolled backwards into Molly.

Yesterday was the first day I was able to drive the car since buying it, and I loved every second of it! Plus I changed the air filter to a K&N panel filter.

Today I replaced the spark plugs, they looked pretty good for 40k miles

Ahhhh, from hill assist to none - that's a mistake I would have made more than once maybe. At least it was just the license plate cover.

I wish the Kid had hill assist...

What wheels are those? They look really nice with your MINI's color IMO.
