Any plans for your upcoming MINIversary?
Agreed, that's how I felt in the end with my MINI. Glad everything worked out, right?!

Probably similar to yours, plan wise. Maybe finish my mods or add some minor things to him.

Bought some Seafoam engine treatment and some Permatex old-school petroleum/lanolin hand cleaner at TRACTOR SUPPLY.

Will do the Seafoam deed (and clean my hands) this weekend.

went shopping

and they said the mini was too small....

Yesterday I plasti dipped my roof racks so when I got home today I installed them

what do you guys think?

Also.. The nut on the rear one was stripped when I bought it. I tightened it the best I could, but does anyone know what kind of nut that is? I'm thinking of going to home depot and buying one to put behind it so it doesnt unscrew itself. (the nut tightens, clicks, and retightens)

Hey, it's a Cloobbie! ("Clubbie" with my bad attempt at a Northern English accent.)

I've put more than that in my Hardtop, just last weekend! Filled up the passenger's seat, put the rear seats down, and filled the back to where I couldn't see out of it!

I've got this storage space that I'm going to lose fairly soon, so I am slowly moving my stuff out of it... I got some more stuff today at lunch, but not as much because I wasn't sure if I was going to have a passenger or not this evening.

They do fit a lot in the,.. assuming you can drop the seats. I love it. sadly after my rack install I now am considering a hitch. I'll see. Installing and uninstalling these is probably going to be terrible for me.

Thanks all for the sentiments. Looks like its only around $2500 of damage, just outer metal, nothing of any real consequence ( no frame damage or anything serious like that) . So it will be back on the road and good as new shortly!

New shift and ebrake boot

Today I installed my new red leather shift and ebrake boots. Still need to install the red dash line. Love the look with the red steering wheel inserts. Name: Newshiftandebrakeboot_zpse76fc3ac.jpg

Had to buy some new tires today because the roads in nj suck and i hit a pot hole on the parkway and got a weird vibration. afterwards when i got to were i was going i got out and was looking at my front tires and they had a bubble in them. I got the cheap tires goodride sv308. I havent had a chance to drive on them to much but i can say its a night and day difference between the old run flats and these there softer so its a much better ride, quieter and they seem to be quite sticky.

Goodride.. I've sold those before (own a shop in Newark).. They are quite sticky and soft indeed. It's weird how they stick. I did find that they wore quickly though. Enjoy them. What part of parkway did you hit?

I'm thinking about roof top box for those long trip instead of a hitch and trailer.

"I can see clearly now the bugs are gone
I can see all obstacles in my way...."

Everybody sing along!

That's a weekly ritual here in Mordor. We have very sticky bugs, and the dry heat bakes 'em on....
