Black vinyl wrapped my ebrake, and the struts on my splitter. Changed the vinyl on my rear mini logo. Added some oil. Yesterday, I finally fixed the oil leak in my oil pressure sender.

The kiwi I did to the plastic still looks Great! Just like day 1! Even after a day of rain

 

Today I completed the F250 into the driver door and rear quarter panel mod. No injuries just bent metal and hurt feelings. Not my fault so hopefully the insurance company is easy to work with.

 

Ouch. Glad no one was hurt.

The last few days have been busy... at least "Mini-wise"...

[] Ordered a full set of replacement brakes, pads, rotors, stuff...
[] Went on a weekend getaway drive with my Spouse of nearly 3 years...
[] Hand-painted and put on checkerboards on my white mirror caps... professionally done?
Nope.
Flaws here and there? Yup...
Look great anyway? YES!
...and about 1/10th the cost of commercial ones. Some blue painter's tape, scissors, black enamel paint and a spray can of enamel clear... Good to go!








Now I would like to find out how I can get my headlights tinted like these two are from the movie "The Italian Job".... anybody know how this is done? Had any success?

Try this stuff. Make sure your lights are very clean, and you have a bit of spare time . Oh, and some new sharp razors and hair dryer or heat gun.

I dropped my MINItron at the dealer today for a new airbox, and sun visors(recall).

 

Today I traded my '07 MCS in for a '12 Civic Si Coupe. Reliability problems finally got the best of me and I had to move on (I was starting to hear some death chain rattle).

 

Ahh to the dark side...

 

Picked up MINItron from the dealer today.


Had the Solenoid valve replaced, airbox fixed, and both sun visors replaced under the recall. Tomorrow he goes into the body shop for three days to have the rear bumper repainted(spider crack).

Installed LED interior lights. Pretty nice. But for some reason the one light I didn't touch (the one in the trunk) doesn't turn on.. Hmmmmm

Havent gotten them yet, but i'm getting my stipes done this weekend! Two viper stripes with two small ones on the edges. Will post pics soon! This picture is of a blue one, but mine will be with a chili red MCS!!

 

nice stripe selection! I finally got my wife to confirm she wants big center stripe with pinstripes on the sides. No bumper striping. We're awaiting samples for matte vs gloss comparison...

 

Today makes one year that I've owned Klaus. Going to treat him to a wash and wax, Amsoil oil change and a "banana nut" car tree! :-)

I got some good notes here that matte white might read as paper. So I need to test them both against the car. I highly suspect gloss will be chosen.

Oh, well a family friend is doing them on saturday he has the stuff already, i'm not sure where you live but he normally lives down near peoria illinois but he up here at the wisconsin border this weekend, he also did my tinting on my windows!
