So my father also mentioned that the windshield washer jets don't work when we brought it in so that has added to the time and they have had some issues installing the ECU so the date has moved to Monday :/

I went to start my MINI and found the battery to be dead. I haven’t driven the car in two weeks and it’s been below zero even in my garage.

The crazy part is I looked through the service records exactly 5 years to the day since it was put in.

Even more crazier, the cold temps have yielded a run on batteries, Interstate and NAPA had nothing in stock.

Did a 2qt drain/fill with Royal Purple ATF @ ~10k miles. Not sure if it's placebo effect but changing 33% of the fluid resulted in smoother shifts on the drive home

I installed the small end bushing on the lower engine mount, I already have the NM torque arm insert on the other end, and went for a drive.

Its ~5 hp gain on average. I did feel a slight difference. The intake sound and exhaust sound are the biggest improvements as well as the polished finish of the exhaust.

Today I'm back in my loaner paceman s and my clubman is getting a new oil sending solenoid. I guess it's a big enough job I got a loaner.

I took my car off the "for sale" too many low ballers.

side note, ordered new crank pulley and tools, i think mine is starting to fail. I also cleaned the inside, did oil change, whiped down engine bay, and will be doing a coolant flush soon

Painted my inner headlight housings in gloss black. Next step is getting the projectors fitted.

The first two photos are the freshly painted gloss-black housings. The second one shows just how glossy they are. The third is the OEM projector shroud. It was originally chrome, but has been sandblasted so it can be painted gloss black as well. In case anyone wonders, paint does not stick to chrome very well.

I thought about doing the housings matte black, but it made the housings look like cheap plastic. So I opted for the gloss. I also thought about paint-matching the projector shrouds to my calipers, which will be hot pink, but I decided against that one too.

So glad you get to do something. It was -8 this morning. Mini started up just fine. All dirty from the snow last week and can't clean it. No chance to clean the Blue Meanie like forever... She's so dirty. I'm ashamed.. We all wave at each other though through the crap! We understand....trudging through Nebraska. No snow like you folks out east of us. Sorry folks.

Hi
I am new to this site but i am running into so many issues with my 2009 mini hardtop. Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated. I have had my mini for almost three years the past 7months has been awful. I'm in the dealer NO JOKE every other week :(
Here is what i have experienced.
1..........car just doest start all the time and cant jump start it wont work. Spark plugs were replaced. Car is fine.
2.... window malfunction light comes on & now car wont start and it took 3hours but finally ale to jump start. Back to dealer they reprogrammed the computer.
3.....happened again car wont start. wait for AAA for hours and they cant get it to start. For the heck of it i try my spare key and it starts. Back to dealer. It ends up to be i have a sealed FOB so i needed a new FOB.
4........ car wont start / back to dealer. i ask the dealer to check battery & electrical. They say its all good. They cant find anything. They kept the car for 4days.
5......car dead again / back to dealer now they say its the battery. they kept the car. Still doest always start. The car at this point is still at the dealer. :(

So sorry to hear that - nothing is more frustrating than these repetitive problems. I wish you well. Hopefully the dealer can get it sorted out.
