Thanks! I've always been very particular of where I parked since I had a bad experience with a pickup truck from back in college with a different car.

I parked behind one with a hitch, went into a barbershop, and when I was done, I found my front bumper on the ground pulled off from the chassis. And of course, there was no note left or witnesses.

My muffler guy just finished installing my CNT Racing exhaust system. I Like It! Not what I would call an aggressive sound, but then again my benchmark for aggressive is my Vette with full headers and Magnaflows. I do like the sound. Much sportier sounding than the stock system and no drone at highway speeds. And, in my opinion, it looks good. All in all, a heck of a deal for the money.

Doug Whalen delrin shift ****, old style Cravenspeed pistol grip brake handle, and the Craven shift well cover. I am extremely happy with the way they all work together and all three are superbly crafted pieces.

Painted the calipers. MINI is getting wrapped in dark matte metallic grey, so I figured this would be the perfect touch of "girly" without being obnoxious.

These look awesome. What brand of paint did you use? I know its prolly caliper paint.. but like G2.. or Dupli color? This is like a really solid color. I tried using the Dupli Color Yellow on my calipers. Put like 4 coats on and you could still see the graphite color showing through the paint. This almost looks like they've been powder coated. Very nice job.

Washed my 09 JCW by hand for the first time since I got it last month. The weather actually got about 40 degrees as its been -20 here in Chicago. While I was at it I washed GF's Infinity G37X and my Tahoe.

washing your own car by hand is always a rewarding feeling. I love doing a full wash, clay bar, and polish.

Now only if my wheels weren't white... I need to powder coat them Break Dust Grey

yeah it feels good to wash it by hand which I always do when it warm. When you wash it by hand you get to see any/all imperfections and any new stuff. Thanksfully my mini is pretty much scratch/chip/ding free.

I just received my JCW rear badge from you guys yesterday. The previous owner yanked it off for some reason. I also installed the shorty antenna and new weather tech liners for the front and trunk. Got the front windows tinted last week and I am not happy with them as they are not dark enough. Looks like I will have to have them ripped out and redone.

Thanks. We appreciate it. Hope it can stay clean, but in Chicago its hard.

MINI has rubber floormats which are designed ( think they are actually weather tech for MINI ) like weather tech for some models like the r56 . They are called All weather floor mats and found under out floor mat sections. They cup the interior floor a little more then stock rubber floor mats.

Examples:

R56 R55 R57 , R58 & R59 model Front set.

Front Floor Mat Liners Black - Set Part # 82112290653

Yeah I saw that after I bought mine. One thing I also realized (after the fact and missed out at getting them for a discount)is that my friend is an engineer at the main facility here in IL Weather tech factory store which is about 15 min from me. I walked in placed my order and then was told to go to the bar where you could order any drink you wanted for free and by the time I finished my coffee my mats where ready. Very nice facility.

Thank you! The color is a bit brighter, but the camera couldn't quite capture it. The paint is actually Nason and was applied with a paint gun. After finishing with 2 coats of clearcoat, these puppies are nice and glossy. Dirt and grime just wipes right off.

Good for you! I always have trouble setting the rack on my Camry for family road trips. Never quite right the first time. I always remember to do it when it's 20 degrees with a nasty Nebraska wind blowing! ha ha
What kind of roof rack did you get for Mini? We maybe moving to somewhere nice, like South Carolina so we'll have 3 cars and a huge moving truck. Need to use space where possible...

It's the OEM rack. It'll definitely come in handy for moving cargo at some point, but its primary function will be ski transport.

Cool rack. I have a nice Thule rack that fits the Camry just right...when I can get it right. Then a Car-Go luggage thingy on top of that to store summer goodies when we road trip. Too bad we can't cruise in the Mini on road trips! Camry is boring to drive, but at least runs great, good gas, and lots of room for 4 and 2 doggies! Sorry, Mini just can't do it.

now! If we can do the Dragon this summer, that will be a different story all together. Family fly out and son and I cruise out there. Then again, we might be moving to at least South Carolina, so very close. Lincoln to anywhere is very far away...

Thanks! I love road trippin in the Clubman. We drive out to Indiana (~15 hours) twice a year and it's the perfect size for the wife and me, our two dogs, and some luggage. Rear seats down, of course.

Any more than that and it all goes to hell pretty quickly.

Oh I know how that goes. Me, wife, a hefty strong 17 year old, mother in law who needs a walker, a Husky dog and little fluffy Havanease doggie, and we're full in the Camry. It's paid for; Mini is not. Not going to do the MiniVan. Please God, no!! We'll just deal with it.

Wow, that's quite the manifest! Mini owners really know how to pack a car, huh
