If you are new to buffers, dont start with a cutting pad. Get a good feel for it first with a soft foam and a fine cut/cleaner wax compound.
Ive seen lots of people really mess their paint up just jumping right in.

You might have to remove the water spot with machine polish. Don't forget that the spots you're seeing are from sediment, impurities and lime from the rinse water that have dried onto the clearcoat. I might also add that I live in an area that has extremely hard water, and the water I use is straight from the hose and unfiltered. The Adam's Car Wash Shampoo and Adam's Detail Spray work every time to keep my Midnight Black paint spot free.
Here's my Roadster just after wiping it down with a waffle microfiber drying towel. It is always deep, reflective and wet looking when I'm finished.

Mr. T - this is the bomb! The first time I washed Lana I had all kinds of waterspots on the black roof.
I looked up Adam's products and found a local dealer here 2mi from my office. Stopped by last night and picked up the above stuff, and a few more items, watched the videos and washed her last night. No more spots! I actually had to clay bar the roof (first time for that too) to get the some of the older spots off, but this made a world of diff. Gone forever are the days I buy the $4/gallon car wash solution at Autozone.

Now to figure out how to use this new Porter Cable Polisher I got last week. Lana is ready for a good wax job. Nervous about using the right grade pad.

Did a little wiring clean up today. I have my phone dock by my rearview mirror so I can see torque and music in a convenient but out of the way place. I can't stand wires hanging down. I hate it. I install high end home theater, sound, ect so hanging wires is a HUGE no no in my mind. Before, what I was dealing with.
So. I ordered a 15ft usb to micro usb cable and a 25 ft aux cable (Over kill is underrated) for a grand total of $7+ shipping (www.parts-express.com). I then ran the wires behind the headliner, down the a-pillar, through the dash, and down to the aux port and cig lighter area, and I was left with this.
Took me about 30 minutes to do it since I changed my mind a couple times on how to route it through the dash. No more hanging wires, fairly satisfied me. I eventually want to mount a usb port beside the aux port in the dash, but that was a bigger project than I wanted to get into today.

big mod day for me :)
today i put on my fun decepticon badget on the boot
then modded my Coupe's boot so i could finally use the side nets from the cargo net kit. Our coupe's do not have the proper ***** to put the top of the side nets on, i used some spare PS3 controller knubs and a spacer and a long screw and made my own and can finally use the sides!
finally did two clamps on my exhaust to hold it better in place and a stubby antenna
