What did you do to your mini today?
Did you do the OutMotoring option? It was a little weird at first. I need to go back and redo a small section, but I'm pretty pleased with the result.
Yes, I tried the old electrical tape thing some have done before and I could get it right. But this worked like a charm. I may have to redo one spot , I kinda messed up, but other than that it went on pretty easy!
Please don't tell me that you bought stick on vents from Autozone because otherwise its such a nice car!
PIAA Driving Lights
Installed PIAA driving lights on my Justa... it only took me a YEAR to get the courage (and time) up to rip the front bumper off... It turned out really to not be a difficult job, but tedious... and the rusted quick-nut fasteners under the car gave me some trouble... and when I got done putting it all back together, I found that one of the fog-lamp-hole-fillers on the lower portion of the bumper cover had fallen out... so NOW I have to remove the bumper skin again, and figure out how to fix that problem.
Lucky for me, the car is on jack-stands in the garage, while I make my first attempt at replacing brake pads and rotors on all four wheels... Sheesh... I'll be lucky if I can drive this car in a month... considering how it took me all day Saturday just to get the Driving Lights on... I am hoping that I dont find out it would have been cheaper-in-the-long-run to have the dealer do my brakes... $500 in parts already invested, now I have to get the time to actually EXECUTE the repairs.
Progress comes in baby-steps sometimes...

So it was yesterday but I'm still smiling. Went on a long run in the Hudson Valley NY near Bear Mountain and West Point with about 30 other Minis - what an absolute blast - a perfect day. It sure was a long winter. Let the motoring season begin!
Coolest part was when we filled up all those traffic circles with nothing but Mini's. Had to see the looks on peoples faces...

Might as well get a pick axe and put some real holes in it... Same effect.
Oh I have to agree whenever I see them on cars I'm like >:() hsidndjabjahahasheidne >:() but what can yah do
Haha well when's on a crown vic or a cavalier I usually don't car but when it's on a nice car like a mini or say a Mercedes or BMW....even saw some on a Porsche... I wanna go rip them off
Yup you're not alone. The only way fake holes are acceptable is if they are factory fake holes. They are catching on with the OEM's now unfortunately! Ford and Caddy especially. Used to be about the only thing with holes fake or not in the body where muscle cars and old school Buick's. Now you can find Buick style holes down the side (sometimes the entire length of the car) on anything leaving the VatoZone parking lot.
i did the One Ball Exhaust mod. Best $50 spent so far on the MINI. sounds amazing and i swear i feel a slight difference in driving after doing it (i know couldnt have actually added much in the way of HP)
oh and made this video of the before and after.

Nothing quite like finding the impressions of a cars license plate bolt heads in our bumpers....or worse.
Hope yours gets buffed out ok.
Well I got the whole day off. So going to start by doing my belt line. Then plasti dip the side reflectors with smoke dip. And to finish off the day, clean the interior and check my rear sway bar bushings and tighten a few things.
IMHO, they *should have been* factory holes.
Weapon of choice: Rotozip with diamond-grit blade.

Take that, desert summers! Stop-and-go traffic in 110+ temps with the A/C on no longer results in crappy performance and a pinging engine due to heat soak jacking up my IATs. Let that heat OUT!!!

C ya,
