What did you do to your mini today?
You're due for a brake fluid change. The date shown is May 2013
Just ordered my custom retrofit halo lights today! The guy said it'll take up to 12 days with ordering parts and all. I'm excited. The demon eyes will be red and the halo will have 5K bulbs! I'll post pictures when I get them put on!
Drove her to Hood River, OR 130+mi. round trip, all Freeway. :( We visited a very cool place...check it out...

I take it you didn't go with the Spec D Tuning headlights then?
No they were kinda hard to mess with the HID kit. Also their plastic housing is very poor quality. Ill post pictures when this guy is done in case anyone around the Midwest would like to get theirs done.
Installed a new set of summer wheels and tires I just purchased from Tire Racks ASA AR1 silver/machined wheels, BF Goodrich g-Force Comp II tires. Wheels look great, will see about the tires once I brake them in, but I can already feel the difference. "Last" mod to come (at least that's what I'm telling myself): EBC Yellow stuff brake pads, and possibly paint brake calipers to match body (Mellow Yellow). Someone els.e is trying to convince me to purchase a 4-pt harness. We'll see...
Rounded off an oil drain plug that some gorilla overtightened. Thanks, bozo, whoever you are. For the love of Pete, please don't use an impact on an oil drain plug!
For the record, I was turning it the right way, I was using a six-point socket and I did drive the car to heat up the oil before I started.
Fortunately, I had a replacement plug before I started and a set of Irwin easy-outs.

Wait what? The Joey mod is more about time than money. This may be one of the least expensive, coolest things you can do to your MINI. The paint/primer is less than $20.00, I opted to also put 10mm LEDs behind the holes that surround the projector lens and that was only an additional 15$.

C ya,

I know I have said this before, and it always starts a bit of a debate, so please if you dont believe it... Hold your breath, and next time you change your oil (assuming you do it yourself) grab a good old American 1/2" 6 point socket, and try it out. You will understand once you try it.
This is the truth! Regardless of what the manual says the drain plug is a 1/2" (12.7mm) not the 13mm they say it is. Why??? Hello, Chrysler designed the engine! Even the thread pitch says it is an American standard bolt, which is why they used the plug they did.

Installed my CravenSpeed Shift Well & Shift ****
Pretty easy install and looks decent on the factory stick. I will be installing Craven Speed Adjustable Shifter in a few weeks. I am still looking for other options as the thought of exposed shifter parts bothers me.
Rearseat Delete
I had a busy weekend.
Direct Wired my Radar Detector
I direct wired my Escort Live/Redline and added a FlexPod Pro for my iPhone. Awesome radar detecting setup.
Shifter
I installed the CravenSpeed Shift Well and Shift **** on the on the factory Stick. Feels good and heavy. Have the CS Adjustable shifter but I keep reading about exposed parts under the car. Looking for other solutions.
Rearseat Delete & Sound Proofing Seatwell
I removed the seats, disconnected the rear seatbelt (lower bolt), bought some supplies from sound deadener showdown and went to work.
Even with out the Butyl rubber step, the car is amazingly quiet and only the throaty sound of my exhaust comes through. Will do the very back of the car and the front/rear footwells in the coming months.
Let me know what you think.

- Placed some CLD tiles withint he seat well and front facing underbody
- Covered the area with Close Cell Foam
- (NEXT weekend) - Will cover the Closed cell foam well with Butyl Rubber
- Put thinsulate sound deadener in the area between the body and the underside of the rearseatdelet.com cover.
- Covered the rearseatdelete cover with closed cell foam, butyl rubber (top surface) and black auto carpet (wrapped around).

New Bonnet and Boot Stripes
Washed Chad this afternoon to get the love bugs off before they destroyed the paint. What do you think of the new faux red stripes....I like to be a little different, and didn't see anything else like them at the Dragon.

Looks great! I like the tie in with the wheels, mirror caps and roof.
