The tint looks really good. I'm debating whether or not to do that as well.

Installed the Alta turbo inlet pipe, Forge BOV adapter, K&N panel filter, and deleted the OEM noisemaker. All you can see in this photo is the inlet, so you'll have to take my word for the other stuff.

Performed a quick detail in prep for the St. Louis European Auto Show today! Ferraris, Lambos, Astons, and other high-rent rides. Oh, and MINIs, hoping for some Minis too!

Just finished replacing that pesky o-ring on the crank position sensor. What a PITA. The back of my hand is now hamburger thanks to the fan shrowd. Now all that's left to do is get some coldies and head to the beach.

Today, I did absolutely nothing to Tackleberry. It is getting ready to go into the body shop tomorrow morning first thing. My new DuelL AG body is now in and this week it gets painted and installed. I am excited to finally get to this point. All goes well, I should have Tackleberry back on Friday.

I thought you were selling it to get the Coupe?

Bite your tongue Rob. I love my MCS. Once all my DuelL AG stuff gets installed and the graphics applied, this will be the only R56 in the United States like it. Although the Coupes are nice (I test drove one when they first came out), I have no intentions of getting one.

Don't worry I won't. I was just curious lol, I saw a guy who said he was buddies with you and said that. But I was just asking because after doing all those mods I wouldn't sell it, like you said, your MINI is one of a kind! Can't wait to see the final stages:-)

Tomorrow, I'm taking it to the dealership to have the new tags mounted, which gives me a good excuse to drive it for two hours.

I was hoping to vacuum it out & detail it a little bit, but thunderstorms, which have already started, will put that on hold.

I rotated my tires today. Should have done it sooner, the fronts are really worn at both edges. I need to slow down on these twisty mountain roads

How often are you supposed to rotate your tires?

For the OEM soft GP2 tires....I would do it more often than standard compound tires....that said, I wonder if getting a wheel stud kit would be good idea....

Productive Sunday on '09 MCS

Front & rear pads, rotors, sensors, drill out broken rotor retaining bolt.

Installed Curt trailer hitch - good piece, straightforward install.

Installed BandB's brainchild seat belt guides (for '08 Chevy Cobalt Cpe)-nice!

YES.

Follow the installation instructions - they don't need a lot of torque, and use Loctite red. I have the Helix kit, purchased thru Detroit Tuned, and friends report good things on several other kits as well. Note you will need to match your lug bolt diameter, as Mini changed from 12mm to 14mm midway thru 2006.

Spent the afternoon installing a Helix short shift adapter. What a &!+€# of a job that was! Rusted exhaust bolts are no fun. The result of my misery and chewed up hands is awesome, however :-)
