What did you do to your mini today?
Just getting into the Mini after owning a Lotus Elise for 6 years, which was and is a very nice car, but as a daily driver AND fun combo, the mini fits the bill better. 8-)
Finding users albums
When you hit album it shows no pictures, but if you do the search by the user's name the album shows up. I don't know why it doesn't work like it should. I have some nice pics. I painted all my plastic trim to match along with some JCW scoop and mirror caps. AEM cold air kit, and Magnaflow 2.5 inch stainless catback. White Euro tail lights and a few badges on the boot.

The taillights and wheels say it's a 90-91. Yellow, if not a re-paint, says 88-90.
If all of those parts started on that car, it's a 1990.
I always liked those. I owned two of them....

I get it, I did in my MINI for a little while. Well, I was interested in him, but recently became focused on another project. And then the OEM header died on him and I had to recently replace it. He is a much more interesting car now with all the parts on him. So for me, I am trying to maintain both now! (wife might be pi$$ed about that) haha
The Focus ST should be interesting...
Ahhhh a TE72... Very nice. 2door, 4 door or wagon? I have an interest in Japanese cars as well. So with the MINI, I build up both cars:

Maybe that will get me back onto the Mini camp, but for now I'm really set on a FRS.My TE72 is the 2 door version, I've had it for 6-7 years. I actually learned to drive on that car
My family grew up racing Mitsubishis and Toyotas at rally events back in the Philippines, I guess that's where my interest for Japanese cars come from
Very nice CRX by the way. It looks different from the typical primer or incomplete body kit ones that I see here in SoCal
muhahahahaha
I've had reoccurring lost of interest for it and I'm sure this time around I wouldn't buy another Mini, 2nd or 3rd generation wise, still love how the R53 is with it's raw feeling and supercharger sound

Very cool background! Understood completely.
Thank you. Yes, similar set up out here in Phoenix. 98% of them look like he**. I just do not get it. That is the way he will stay outside of something interesting residing under the hood. The idea of 210-220bhp in a 2000-2100lb car is appealing.
I also had 2, both 91 si's with the rear disc brakes. Had a "MiniMe" swap in the last one, and if not for the sound system I built in it, it would have been pretty quick.
Instaled carbonmini.com's carbon fiber door handle overlays and got tuned at renntech. I think I'm going to take a break for a while since I've spent a lot of money on this car already since I bought it in February.
Installed a new spoiler. Found a couple of broken brackets that JB Weld repaired and a lose OAT probe. Quite a job learning how to deal with Mini plastic tabs and fasteners. I learned a lot about my Mini on this project. Of course this forum helped a lot. Hopefully I won't subject my car to the same treatment the previous owner did.
Replaced my passenger seat with one I found on ebay because the old one had a bad passenger occupancy sensor and didn't want to drop the 1100 to have the shop replace it...and gave the mini her first wash since spring time.

Let the wife drive the MINI to work for the first time post new header install. Anxiously awaiting any response on how the drive went or power increase, all I received was, "Well it is much louder now. I think there is a power gain."
Really? thats all I get? Further investigation reveals that she does not take the car past 4k rpms... Ugh...
When I was "testing", I never came down below 4k rpms!
I actually sat in my MINI for the first time in over a year this afternoon.
(NOT JOKING!) Then I resumed getting at the body work... Car's gonna look wicked!

Just got done changing the harmonic balancer and crank pulley without the correct mini tools. Wow what a pain in the a** but it was worth it, now she is back on the road. Thank god. I do however want to say thanks to Way Motor Works for getting it shipped to me so fast.
