Set an appointment today to get the windows tinted on my mini! Very excited! I'm going with 5% or 10% for the back 3 windows, and 30% or 35% on the sides.

Wow I love it! How much did it cost? I'm about to order one, previous owner scratched the hell out the them, like he took a wool cloth and polished it.

I let my MINI rest. After 70+ degrees yesterday, this morning yielding 27 degrees and freezing rain. Even with the new OS Giken LSD and ACT flywheel and clutch, Direzzas are not happy at these temps.

Backed up too quickly in an unfamiliar driveway and OH SO LUCKILY aligned my rear wheel with the boulder, rather than my BUMPER. We had to build a ramp to drive it down. When I was proceeding off of the boulder, the car started to roll BACKWARD... AHHH!! I had to do the break, clutch and gas all at once to keep from rolling backward. I felt so stupid, but so LUCKY.

I have a megan racing catback exhaust sitting in the garage and a DDMworks Intake landing at my house soon... Can't wait to get them installed.

Then I'll be working on the wife for a 22" MiniMadness rear sway bar and the MiniMadness front brace... Considering the GTT mid brace also...

Need a pulley, too!

And another job!

Wasn't a good time to have the LOL license plate.
Glad it all turned out ok.

Replaced the windshield after it cracked over the weekend. I was driving and something hit my windshield from out of nowhere and cracked it. There were no cars in front of me, no cars anywhere nearby that could have kicked up any rocks. I'm thinking either a stray BB or a meteorite.

I tried calling them one day and I swear I called at least 10 times and no one picked up the phone and it was like at 10am and then around 2pm. Ever since that I don't even want to give them a chance.

Dont worry, it happens to the best of us.

I am actually surprised that the R56 has that much suspension flex.

Aww that reminds me this happened to me last week too :(

Also found some weird scratches forward of my driver side side view mirror :( Look shallow enough to buff out though

Today, well... I got my new personalized license plates for my little buddy.... and then I pulled into the auto parts store to replace the burnt-out parking bulb... only to discover (unless I am doing something really wrong and dumb) that I have to remove the bumper facia in order to remove the parking lens housing in order to get that parking lamp bulb out. I can remove the hookup connector from behind the lamp, but the bulb does NOT pull out.

Am I REALLY going to have to do significant surgery to the car just to replace a $2 bulb? I hope someone can tell me what I am missing here.

You might be able to get to it from the wheel well by pulling the fender liner off in the front area. I had to do that to change fog light bulbs , it's not as hard as it seems but definitely way more work than it should be to change a bulb.

I got a hold of them within two rings of the phone on Monday at about 11 am. Showed up early for my appointment today and they finished the job well under 2 hours..

Dale that's perfect! I can only lift one of my wheels 2 inches on my MINI before the rear starts to come up. The ZooK has been measured to 25" (It will go further I ran out of ramp.) not bad considering I am working with an 83" wheelbase and stock track with.

Pilotguy1050, unless you can borrow somebody with tiney hands the easyest way is to remove the bumper cover. It's not a hard job and can be taken off and put back in about 15 minutes. If you can get your hands down the hole, the bulb socket shuld turn before pulling out. Sometimes the road grime will make it stick pretty good.
