haha....what a bunch of crap. Are you 90 years old or something? SO many other things to worry about than tint on windows. Let me list a few for you.
1. drunk drivers
2. texting drivers
3. drivers talking on their phone
4. drivers eating breakfast/lunch/dinner
5. teen drivers
6. very old drivers with the reaction time of a sloth
7. drivers camped in the fast lane going 10 under the limit
8. distracted soccer moms in suburbans yelling at their 6 kids in the back
9. drivers in a constant state of road rage
10. tailgaters
This friggin list could go on forever and tint would still not be on it............
And what's with the eye contact? You look every driver you see on the road in the eyes? I suggest you try keeping your eyes on the road.

So, 8 out of 10 just by being able to see the other driver.
That's exactly what I've been looking for!
1. Where did you get it?
2. Do they make one to fit the Gen2 MINI?

You can choose from various colors, sizes (I went with 2 1/8", just a tad smaller than a cue ball), patterns, etc etc etc. They offer them threaded or non-threaded which is what we need. The non-threaded option has a small ring underneath with 3 sets screws and a few nylon sleeves to get a good fit (I used the slimmest of the 3, on my old cars I needed the thicker ones). It looks and feels great, now if I can just figure out how to get rid of that ugly black plastic sleeve on the shaft where the boot zip ties to
I'd love to polish the shaft and let the boot sag but with that there it kind of kills that idea.
Oh the possibilities in double entendre`...
instead of polishing your shaft, consider putting a chrome or polished sleeve OVER the shaft, perhaps some sort of chrome (or machined, or ??) tube that covers the shaft, then you can let the boot sag...

glad someone picked up on that. The issue is that black plastic doo-hickey is pretty thik at the thickest parts (top/bottom) so a sleeve would have to be pretty large, I don't think I'd like that. On 2 of my last 3 cars the shafts were plain metal and polished up really nice without much effort (the last car I stuck with a more traditional ****/boot combo).
When I did mine (1st one known with this ****) I was using the Craven shifter. Now that shifter comes polished for some reason, I had to strip the black off and put the work into it. It is a verry good looking combo.
First, the bad
Left work early today at noon, stopped at Starbucks in a shopping center before getting on the hwy. I'm inside for less than 5 minutes and walking out notice a woman in a large Mercedes SUV backing out of the space next to me (which was empty when I pulled in just a few minutes prior), I also notice a man pacing around my car with a phone in his hand and immediately have a feeling I'm about to get bad news. Sure enough, as I get close to my car I notice the rear corner scuffed pretty bad and the marker light smashed, I ask the guy if the suv just hit me and he says yeah and starts giving me the plate #. Luckily it's a busy lot and the suv didn't get far, I was able to run over 4 rows and stop the lady to question her. She was an older woman and played dumb, I didn't buy it and called my insurance co and filed a claim against her (luckily we both had the same insurance so I don't have to worry about any deductible or anything). It's nothing major but the bumper is gouged a bit, needs to be smoothed and re-painted at the very least, more than enough to **** me off (esp. with the first show of the season in just a few weeks, Dubs on Defrost in CT).

And the good... finally painted a set of s-lites I've had laying around. I prepped them yesterday and put the paint on today (why I left work early). This shot was after the first coat of clear. The tires are shot and will be coming off which is why I didn't bother masking them, I know they may get nicked up during mounting and balancing the new tires but in my experience the guys I use are really good.
