"LOL"-- the perfect description of my driving skills. The left-rear wheel was 2-3" off the ground as well, since it's hard to tell. I guess with such a tiny car and tightly-spring suspension that's why it'd be so prone to lift off at the slightest incline...?

And thanks for the wheels compliment! I love 'em because they are different and look like old shields wrapped in rubber.

So lucky...

HAHAHAHAHAHA... I figured out that with my HUGE hands only the "correct" one would go in good enough to actually grab hold of the bulb fixture at all! And, the manual (which I read tonight in a fit of desperation) confirmed that you are correct; the fixture SHOULD come out of the lamp housing with a left-twist. But, boy, not a chance unless I take pliers to it. I'll give it a shot tomorrow, otherwise it will have to wait til I take off the bumper cover to put on my ALTA PERFORMANCE driving lights. Thanks for the info / confirmation of what the manufacturer intended for this 'not-quite-so-easy' job.

Fortunately in Florida insurance companies have to cover windshield repairs and replacements 100% with no deductible so I didn't have to pay anything. Not sure what it's going to cost me in the long run though if they raise my premiums because I filed a claim.

I put my Megan Racing catback exhaust on last night and need to put the car back together this morning and lower it off the jack stands. Love the sound!

Are you going to replace them or leave it naked?

Gave my '02 MCS a brand new dip stick today. Was checking my oil the other day and noticed that my dip stick was broken about 4" down from the handle and remembered talk on the forum about broken dip sticks and how do you get them out once they broke off, so I ordered a new one from OutMotoring. Suppose to be warm tomorrow here in NY so maybe I can finally install my new window tint.

Installed my new H-Sport 19mm rear swaybar. The difference was apparent, even though it is on the softest setting. Handles a little different, and I am going to have to get used to it, but that is a good thing. 2 Thumbs Up for Way Motor Works as well(it's where i got the swaybar) for such quick service! Next item will be the DDM intake.

Lost a battle with my MCS attempting to replace a leaking crankshaft sensor o-ring... I was putting the car in "service mode" for the first time but was unable to get the radiator to move more than an inch forwards after unbolting everything spent way too much time fighting with it and decided to throw in the white flag. I did however replace a leaking and completely blown motor mount with a fresh one and wow what a difference it made So at the end of the day the score was Me 1 Mini 1. I'll have to find someone to do the o-ring for me in the near future, it will give me a reason to order a pulley too (since I've already convinced my wife I might as well have the pulley installed if I'm going to have someone do the o-ring ).

And on a side note... I removed the 2 front wheels to make it easier to get to the fender liners and in the process discovered the previous owner must have had aftermarket wheels and used the wrong bolts on the stock wheels before he traded it in I found tapered bolts holding my stock x-lites on, definitely not what I expected to see, now I'll be ordering a new set of oem ballseat bolts.

washed mine in the brushless wash (I don't have access to a hose and no one that I know with a house was awake). I cleaned the wheels and cried on the inside at how corroded my wheels have become

then I played with the MINI configurator trying to convince myself that I do not need to buy a new JCW...

Your car looks really low in the rear. Do you have any more pics. of it?
I'm going to be lowering mine the end of the month and just getting an idea of how low to go.
Thanks

Oh, and I've done the apt. thing way back when and washing my car was a pain.
So much nicer to have a home.

Very happy with it. Finally got to drive it today for more than two seconds. It's definitely got more torque and pick up. The crap that was rattling around in the old exhaust was definitely a bottleneck. Can't wait to get the CAI added.
Now I need a pulley, rear sway bar, front brace, header/cat, bigger intercooler, fuel injectors, wheels and on and on and on... Oh, and another job to pay for it all... :Cheesy:
The Megan Catback for the S doesn't have many sound clips out there. I am going to attempt to make one but if it doesn't do it justice I won't even post it. I like it because it is quiet when you are cruising, but when you stand on it, it can get loud!
