Began the day fueling up at Starbucks before heading back home to Virginia. Logged well over 700 miles today.

My Mini's sit in the garage and driveway because I haven't put gas in Artemis and BB needs some work done to her (the classic).

Made a pretty decent attempt to repair the damage Skittles, my neurotic whippet, did to the interior passenger door. (She "ate" it, really...) The repairs to the vinyl turned out ok, but I unintentionally melted the collar around the door pull handle with the embossing tool. No fixing that, so I am looking for replacment parts.

I drove form Key West, Florida, to Eatontown, NJ, back to KW and then another 50 miles north again before I realized there was a nail in my tire. I love my run flats, in the Keys, there are a lot of long empty streches of road between bridges. I would not feel safe without them. Why did you replace yours? Flo

Jealouse of G33KGUY's 700 miles of seat time in the MINI.

But I did swap out the clear bulbs in the doors with the amber that were in the sidemarkers.

Nice pic Albiecrazy!

Oh yeah - that helps. Nothing like MINI road trips.

Pic #4 looks like it could be semi-local to me. It's definitely somewhere in the southwest....

C ya,

Busy day today - replaced the black part of the front bumper under the lower grille, the undercar "air dam", one wheel well liner and a section of wheel arch (all damaged when I ran through some water that was deeper than it looked. Then replaced the air filter, serpentine belt, and the power steering pump fan. Lastly, removed the rear coilovers and re-installed the factory shock/springs. Ran out of daylight before removing the front coilovers, so that (along with the manual transmission fluid swap) will have to wait for another day.

Rotated my tires and while I had them off I changed my rear sway bar to the most aggressive setting...I feel bad for the next person that is in the passenger seat when I am going around a turn muahaha.

P.S. Voted for you Albie

That's awesome JohnW! I have my sway bar in the middle setting. How much tighter is the handling for you?

I couldn't tell you how it feels for your car since the R53 and R56 have their differences.

But for my car at least, there isn't a huge difference but I noticed that the sharper turns are well...sharper and the cars feels more quick to respond. It really whips around now.
